  • So what are the odds that this one will be postponed/rescheduled due to jetlag now that I have bought plane tickets and all? Wouldn't be totally unlike our dear Moz...

  • The Sports Bar in Shoreditch will be a great place for Moz fans to meet before the gig from lunchtime onwards. They play excellent music , with loads of Smiths and Moz tunes and the girls start dancing from 12.30...what more could you want ?

  • The Catherine Wheel, 23 Kensington Curch Street, 3pmish onwards, is being mentioned for pre gig warm up drinks, never been there myself, but sounds ok. See you there. We will all recognise each other by the incessant grinning at the prospect of the night(s)ahead in the company of the man, lets see if we can make him homesick for blighty. God, I sound like a girly pop fan.

  • Hey you sexy londoners, where r u. I've just received my tickets for the shows and i find this pre-show too calm and desert to be real. I am comin from France to see Moz and i expected a hundred thousand commentaries on those shows. I'll be at the pub at 3.00 pm and wherever you are, she or he-fans. Where do you sleep to wait for the day, for the night between shows ? Where do you drink ? Do you breathe ? do you cry ? Do you love ? Do you want to meet strangers ? Do you talk about the guy ? Tell me please. It is one of the greatest days in my life, my very last teen pilgrimage (i am 26 !!) and i want to communiate with you in any single way.

  • I just got my tickets through the post today! It all seems more real now and I'm absolutely soiling myself with anticipation!

Are there any pre/post-gig meetings organised?

I'll be easily identified with my bright red hair, recently styled into a bob which, coupled with my glasses, makes me look like Velma from Scooby Doo. I'll be with UKWard (big WWF wrestler type bloke but without the colourfully flamboyant spandex outfits). We'll be loitering outside the RAH doors like deranged stalkers, foaming at the mouth at the thought of meeting the great man. Don't worry though, we're quite harmless ;)

If you've got tickets, enjoy the concerts!

  • Has anyone else had bad experiences with Way Ahead ticket office?

I was told yesterday that I had to pick the tickets up at the venue immediately before the concert (though I ordered them to be sent), which of course means that I will have no chance of getting a good standing place.
When I wrote a mail asking if there was any other way, I got a rude reply refusing to help and referring to the terms and conditions in small writing that state that I have to pick them up.

You'd think a little customer service was in order, considering how I pay a lot of money for those tickets? Obviously not. I know that other foreigners have had the tickets sent, and I can't imagine it would be impossible to be allowed to pick them up at their offices in advance.

I certainly hope Morrissey will choose a different ticket agent next time. I booked tickets for the Boy George musical, which were sent to me in Denmark within a few days.

  • Alright everybody, it'll soon be time. Our flight leaves tomorrow and I'm so excited I can barely speak.
BUT I AM wondering if there is some sort of pre-show party going on somewhere around the Albert Hall? Is there somewhere in particular that one should go to sink a few drinks with kindred souls before the gig?
Please, post an adress as well (if you have one).
    Thanks and cheers!

    A Slight Case of Overcombing
  • Hello!

Just wanted to mention the next How Does It Feel To Be Loved? night. It's on Sept 19th, so for those who are going to either the 17th or the 18th at the Albert Hall (or both!) and want to keep the good feeling going for as long in the week as possible, then we'll be playing our usual mix of The Smiths to The Supremes.

    Details are:

    Playlist:
The Smiths * The Supremes * The Go-Betweens * Dusty Springfield * Belle & Sebastian * Tammi Terrell * Aztec Camera * The Ronettes * Orange Juice * Beach Boys * The Temptations * Velvet Underground * Felt * The Shangri-Las * Primal Scream * Otis Redding * The Field Mice * Simon & Garfunkel * Dexys Midnight Runners * The Four Tops * Dolly Parton * The Orchids

Sept 19th, Buffalo Bars, underneath The Famous Cock pub, outside Highbury & Islington tube 9pm-2am, £3 adm. Guest DJ is Harvey Williams (back by popular demand!)

    Our website is at http://www.howdoesitfeel.co.uk

    See you Thursday!
