    I thought it was even better than last night. Maybe that's just from a personal viewpoint, but I thought tonight was phenomenal. Last night, he was much more chatty, making contact with the audience a lot..not much contact tonight (except, as usual, the "Truly I do love you" part of Maudlin Street where he held hands with what I presume was Julia, though I didn't see?)

    Highlights were an extremely beautiful Maudlin Street, There Is A Light, Sister I'm A Poet, Everyday Is Like Sunday...

    I'll try to remember a few quotes but my head is so messed up (in a good way!) right now...

    He kept saying "What? Ahhhhh, shurrup!", which was hilarious :) (said in Dublin accent)

    When he said "Thanks" after one song, he said it with a strong Dub accent, which means it's pronounced "Tanks!"...he said this and Alain started to laugh, he said "Alain, what are you laughing at?" and Alain said something like "The guys from Sack told me that if you want to sound like a Dubliner, you have to say "How are ya? I'm alright, TANKS!" to which Moz replied "SECURITY!" and pointed at Alain

    He added the few BEJAYSUS in now and again, too...very endearing :)

    Before 'Meat is Murder' he said "We tried this in Paris, but I don't think it'll work here...repeat after me....I (crowd: I)...WILL (will)...BECOME (become)....VEGETAIRE...you didn't say vegetarian!"

    "Welcome to a wet Thursday evening on O'Connell Street...as if there's any other type of Thursday evening on O'Connell Street"

    "I've been brushing up on my Gaelic...I can now say "howaya!" and "bainne" (irish for milk)...not very useful, I know...bainne!"

    "Is everyone ok? At the back? Yes, you, at the back from Swords!" (suburb of Dublin)

    When introducing the band, he said they were all from various suburbs of Dublin...i.e. "Boz from Stillorgan...."

    When introducing 'Mexico' he said "This is a song called Mexico...but you can change it to something like 'Coolock' (ANOTHER Dublin suburb!) if it makes you feel better.."

    "Thank you for making us very happy...."(didn't hear what he said after this)

    I notice that the band must have some sort of running joke about the introductions and Dean's name being chanted...before Moz got to Dean's name, Alain faced the crowd and mouthed "Deano, Deano!" and encouraged us to shout it...

    Absolutely and utterly wonderful gigs, I enjoyed both nights probably more than any other gig I've ever been to. Mr. Steven Patrick Morrissey, I, and Dublin, love you.

    Just returned from the ambassoder. Just as excellent as last night. Morrissey was very talkative.Introducing There is a light he said when you are dancing and laughing and finally living here my voice in your head and please think of me kindly. First of the gang and Irish Blood were very well received. He mentioned that he will not be playing Athens next week as he flies to Perth on Monday. Sack also mentioned they would be supporting Morrissey in Glasgow Newcastle & Bradford.

    The atmosphere and intensity was far superior to the Olympia 3 years ago. He looked much better and his voice just gets better.

      Last night was just as good as wEDNESDAY .Moz has taken to the Dub accent big time.He also made a comment about all the foot & mouth signs at the airport,after Meat is Murder and said something like "God bless Foot and mouth".He put Crumlin in instead of London in 'Hairdresser'.When the shirt was thrown in all hell broke loose .The bouncers were hilarious fighting amonst each other like the three stooges.So when sack announced they'd be playing in Glasgow Newcastle etc,Is Morrissey doing more dates?Mozz also said something about Janice Long brilliant Janice or something like that ,then he went on to say that awful Jo Whiley then he said I'll take it back.Someone shouted up don't take it back.Before "Irish Blood" he said you can love your country but you don't have to respect it.When he came back for the encore he said something like whoever got that shirt it's a very cheap one.That all I can remember Oh but they were two fantastic shows ,I hope he doesn't leave it 3 years to come back again.

  • ...possibly the best quote of the night...before introducing the band, he said "I have a public announcement to make, which some of you may be interested in...I was recently MARRIED to...(I presume someone in the crowd made a smart comment, to which Moz stopped and said "You know, your wit must go down VERY WELL with small children" (or something like that)...brilliant, Moz, brilliant...

  • At some point during the show, Morrissey said "We love Janice Long....but we hate Jo Whiley!" (or maybe it was just 'don't like' - can't remember)
    Then he laughed and looked a bit sheepish and said "Was that nasty? Well I don't care." Then he said "Can I take it back? Please? Please can I take it back?"

    I think he was kidding but I'm not sure.
