  • Regarding his 22 newly recorded songs, Morrissey stated that he's "a bit too long in the tooth to give them to any record company in this climate...", likening the current music scene to the pre-punk atmosphere of the early - mid seventies. So my question to him is, why wait for someone else to step up and change what presently is? Send them off, allow yourself to be sandwiched between crap and nonsense if it means the world can once again embrace your unique and intelligent sound! You did it once before, back in the eighties, so why not do it again?
We all know that the record companies won't change on their own, and if you sit back and wait for them to accomodate you, those 22 recorded songs will forever sit in your basement collecting dust!
Perhaps if vets like you spearheaded a new climate, new bands may (in time) have a piece of the cake...
Just a suggestion, please don't hate me Morrissey,

  • Thanks very much to the person who took the time to scan this. A digest or transcript is okay, but it's much nicer to see the article as it originally appeared. I like seeing how many columns an article tookup, what its placement was like, etc. Cheers!

  • Morrissey, if you read this, We all hope that you shake up this joke we call a music industry..I am sickend of these top of the pop, no talent, plastic starfuckers, that all sound the same and are only in it to see themselves on the telly so they can brag to their small amount of drones about how beatiful they look. Fuck Um, Fuck Um. I, like just about every Morrissey fan knows that you can blow the doors of the shit that is being shot out of the asses of these prestigous record fonghouls. Who else on the planet could capture the hearts of so many people but you. No one. Morrissey is truly an original..and I have been waiting the last five years to hear some new material from you. Thank you for the inspiration all these years.
    Fuck the Music Biz!!!!

  • As we know, there was a morrissey character in it, pulled I believe through the producer's inability to get clearance (or a response) from the Great Man. Its a pity - I was really looking forward to that.

  • well why not do all his fans a favor and open his own record company and save us from hearing the non-sense on the radio today and sign some bands who have more apropriate music for our times...and then his problem would be solved and won't have to sign with any record company.....no record company of this time deserves Morrissey..do you agree?
