Chuffed to have just taken delivery of my CD audio book of Autobiography today :) Sad though that there is not even a single info sheet included in the box, just the 11 CD's, looks a bit naked :lbf:

Autobiography review by Ian McGillis - Montreal Gazette

An anonymous person writes:

a very well written review of Autobiography:

Ian McGillis: Autobiography by Morrissey - Montreal Gazette

Excerpt:

In the end, Autobiography’s strengths — its vivid coming-of-age evocation, its unbridled love of language, its final sense of hard-won contentment — far outweigh its weaknesses, and Morrissey emerges from its pages as much a literary figure as a musical one. In this regard, the book’s only true peer is Bob Dylan’s Chronicles: Volume One, its only other foreseeable future companion the memoir that Nick Cave will hopefully one day decide to write. Fans can leap in with full confidence, as indeed they have already been doing in droves; the curious, and anyone looking for an original and absorbing voice, can do the same.

Norrissey: The Novel, By Morrissey - A Synopsis - The Quietus
David Stubbs , January 6th, 2014 06:37
Man of refined taste and lucky skip skimmer Mr David Stubbs has procured us an early draft of Morrissey's debut novel...

With the news that Morrissey is to write a novel, we dispatched David Stubbs to Penguin's London offices in the hope of doorstepping them for an interview on the matter. He was declined.

However, on exiting the building and passing by a skip, he caught sight of a manuscript, a possible first draft of the work. It was entitled THIS HANDSOME MAN – A NON-AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL MADE-UP STORY OF LOVE AND VINDICATION. We reprint it in full here.

Manchester Evening News

The Manchester Evening News have stated on 17 October 2013 that Morrissey 'claims he was "touched inappropriately by a teacher at school"'. Morrissey has never made such a claim. Furthermore, Morrissey does not use the word 'inappropriately' unless it is followed by an explanation of what an action might be inappropriate to.
Morrissey is seeking legal advice on this matter.
