What a load of pretentious shit. Andy Rourke sounds like a right stuck-up, rude bastard. The fame must of gone to his head, or maybe it was the drugs. He must have a huge ego.

SMITHS PRODUCER HITS OUT AT "BITCHY" MORRISSEY
Stephen Street has criticised Morrissey for some of the personal attacks mounted in his Penguin Classic.
The Hot Press Newsdesk, 30 Oct 2013, 18:14
“People have often asked me, ‘Do you think The Smiths will ever reform’,” says the producer. “I always thought it unlikely. People might say, ‘Well, you got off lightly’, and I agree I did but I don’t enjoy seeing other people who contributed to the success of the band and his solo career being put down in such a bitchy matter. What does it achieve?”

Brian writes:

Following the release of Morrissey's Autobiography, I thought you might enjoy an infographic I created this year that maps his 200+ song catalog to several reoccurring themes that appear throughout his lyrics. The graphic shows that while his themes are consistent, they go well beyond the typical description of "depressing."

The failures of teachers, the ingratitude of fellow musicians. There’s no slight too small that isn’t rehashed in Morrissey’s self-pitying memoir

Excerpt:

There are many pop autobiographies that shouldn't be written. Some to protect the unwary reader, and some to protect the author. In Morrissey's case, he has managed both. This is a book that cries out like one of his maudlin ditties to be edited. But were an editor to start, there would be no stopping.
