Where were you when you bought "Viva Hate" and/or "Suedehead"?

I bought "Suedehead" on all formats (7", 12", CD and cassette single) on the day of release, but for various reasons listened only to the cassette for the first few weeks. I wondered why "Hairdresser on Fire" didn't include the song's title in its lyrics, but then again, neither did "Suedehead"...

KROQ 1990 - First radio interview as solo artist

Straight from a discussion about vegetarianism and abattoirs into a Del Taco ad for burgers and ground beef tacos. Lovely!

"Sex and drugs and rock n roll insurance" article with Morrissey mention - The Guardian

... which, funnily enough, omits his first ever cancelled solo date(s). His show at Dundee's Caird Hall on 15th May 1991 was cut short due to illness, and his Glasgow show scheduled for the next night was pulled completely. This was his first solo tour, and I was there - a great night at...

    Pat Nevin on meeting Morrissey

That'll be Morrissey's old house, Beech Mount, on Bowdon Road in Altrincham, as seen on Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/1ehZ7 He hasn't lived there for twenty years or so, of course. The house was used to film an episode of Sherlock Holmes starring Jeremy Brett.

You Are Sleeping, You Do Not Want To Believe

This may or may not be the answer ... but in the late 70s or early 80s in the UK there was one of those multipart magazines ("first issue with free binder!") about the supernatural, and one issue had a free flexidisc containing some of this material. I clearly remember listening to it over and...

It had better be good at those prices ... 12.50 (almost US$25!!!) for a bowl of pasta and tomato sauce? Mein Gott!

Kristeen Young disses Bowie, Cure, Beatles

I agree. If anything, it's MORE respectful of these artists to say "Leave their legacy alone - stop trying to be like them, and do your own thing."

    A Few Requests

I doubt Morrissey makes much, if any, money from singles, as they sell so few copies that I imagine Sanctuary must be losing money on them - a loss leader for the album, in effect. Which is probably why Morrissey is so angry when a single enters the charts at number 14 and disappears from the...

    Londoners Help!!!!!!!

Slightly off-topic, but I met Boz Boorer coming out of one those stores once, back in about 1991! He stopped and talked for ages, and signed the Moz bootleg cassette I had just bought at Camden Market. Nice guy!
