A message from Alain, now in Belgium / more Vegas in Dec. rumors

From an anonymous source:

After an enforced rest - on doctors' orders - and care and attention from all around him, Alain says his injured back is 'on the mend' and he is looking forward to playing at Deinze on Tuesday night.

The last thing he wished to do was to miss Vegas or any show - because he is enjoying this tour; and out of respect for the fans, for his colleagues and all those involved in making sure everything works out for the best in the best of all possible worlds.

To the disappointed Vegas fans he says "Please don't be blue"... Rumour has it that there will be a couple of shows in Vegas in December to make up for the let down at the House of Blue

Scan of the ticket for the Deinze concert tonight from Steve Perceval (Myth Is Morrissey):

From Daniel:

I spoke to a representative from House of Blues today to see what to do with my tickets. They told me, that the show was in the process of being rescheduled! That's good news, but they also told me that my old tickets are worthless.

Ticketmaster already refunded my credit card and in order to go to the next show, we will all have to buy more tickets. So, a little good news, a little bad news I guess. I'm sure if you call them they will give you the same info.

well, I wasnīt involved in the Vegas problems, so itīs easy for me to forgive, but anyway:
The most important thing is that Alan is getting better, isnīt it?
Best wishes from Bonn.

What's up with the ticket stub? What's that guy doing? Does Moz pick the pictures out because I don't see anything artistic about 'em!

i believe he is jumping rope. and i must say that i think this picture is quite artistic. he's a boxer and he is in training.

Hey trouble, what's up!

What I mean is....What is Morrissey trying to say with pictures like this. There has to be some type of underlying meaning to pictures like this. Is it a boxer from way back that Moz admired as a kid? See, there's got to be more about the subject in the pic other than that he is a boxer jumping rope! Don't you think?

Its the boxer Kenny Lane - I thought it was obvious, its exactly the same pic from Southpaw Grammar.

I think for what happen in vegas was something to experienced by. Even though it got cancelled, at least I got to meet lots of people, including the Mandalay Bay Security who wouldnt let me have peace to gamble and drink and be a bit Happy. Even though its cancelled and is going to be rescheduled i hope it goes all the way through this time.... Hope to see everyone at this concert.

It's supposed to make up for what happened that the Las Vegas show is being rescheduled? That's of very little help when you live hand to mouth and had to do everything short of rob a bank to afford plane fare for the first show. Wouldn't it be more appropriate to schedule a couple of shows closer to the east coast? That might actually make a difference for those of us who spent our last cent flying across the country once already.....

I was at the Deinze show yesterday (great performance of 'meat is murder', actually), but I have to ask: is Alain Whyte the short, little heavy guitar player or the slim one?
just wondering

A handfull of Moz shows and only one message about the new drummer??

Please, forget about his hairline for a second, and tell me how the new dummer sounds.

Is his pace quicker than Spencer's? Does he add more breaks? Less breaks?

Any info would be appreciated.

I'm going to put this same message on the other discussion in hopes for some answers!

Give me my answers.

So where is the message from Alain? "Dont be blue?" is supposed to cheer us up? I'm glad he's in Belgium. I'm still stuck in Sacramento, broke, and with no chance of getting back to Vegas to see him in December - or any other time soon for that matter. Thanks alot.

I realize the sarcasm is a bit much, and 'things like this happen', but I am still upset.

Thanks Brandi. You said it perfectly. We are not all mad about the Vegas situation. A few if not all were a bit disappointed, but things happen. I'm just glad Alain's doing better and I hope to see you all in Vegas come December. Hey, a few shows in Los Angeles wouldn't hurt either. :) Looking forward to December; Can't wait!

Well, IF they are to return in December, then it would almost have to be the weekend of the 17th. The first two weekends are booked with Country and Western bands. The weekend after is Christmas - of course. The 30th and 31st are already booked as well.

So, if rumors hold true - and the show is a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night show - then plan to be here 12/16 - 12/18.

Great.

I would like to list my grievences:

First of all, the morons who invaded the stage and screwed up his back need a foot in their ass twisted slowly in a clockwise direction. From what I have been reading here, these recent shows have attracted nothing but @#!!!s who spoil the fun for us gentle unfortunate folk, and most of them had invested mucho expense and time in getting to those places to begin with. I think they deserve the spot they had stood in line for all day for and for it to NOT be lost to some jerks who have come to intimidate them out of it.

Second of all, I can't rejoice that there will be 2 or 3 more Vegas dates because I hate that city. I have no plans of returning. Let the people of Vegas go see Tom Jones.

Third, maybe he will be nice and go through Tulsa. It may take a day of driving, but I would rather do that than Vegas again.
