Morrissey Central "SOON / 2020 new releases" (September 6, 2020)

I read You must Please Remember’ is one of his (own) most hated songs.

Morrissey Central "SOON / 2020 new releases" (September 6, 2020)

I’m pretty sure these sleeves are official Moz fake news and designed to irk the purists and detractors (Including myself I suppose?) who have previously spoken up about the much maligned artwork revisions on previous reissues. But then I’ve thought that countless times in Moz world and it...

Morrissey Central "I TRAVELED TO A MYSTICAL TIME ZONE BUT I MISSED MY BED SO I CAME STRAIGHT HOME" (July 14, 2020)

I’m sure this has already been mentioned but I thought the lyric was, ‘and I missed my bed/and I soon...’

Morrissey Central "To Be Right But Not To Be Believed" (April 25, 2020)

It’s not like this is the way record companies even work anymore. It’s usually a social media campaign to get people to buy songs that are already available on streaming services.

Those allegations have been quashed by a court of law.

"Why Morrissey’s downfall echoes the messy demise of The Smiths" by Ed Power - The Independent

Whether you concur that this is a 'downfall' depends on your stance on cancel culture and how invested you are in Twitter. Those with the ability to separate artist from art would perhaps take a different view...

Morrissey Central "BANKSY STRIKES AGAIN ??" (March 10, 2020)

Is this SER-created? It could just be a found meme. If SER is masquerading this as a found meme then that’s a bit trite mind... I think the Banksky headline is probably click bait in Morrissey’s world.

Music News / Fiona Dodwell review of "I Am Not A Dog On A Chain" (4/5 stars, March 9, 2020)

But then surely the same should be said of David Quantick, for exactly the opposite reason. And then if you extend this rule you start to consider the fact that no one who ever liked or disliked anything ever should be allowed to review the work of the person they ever liked/disliked...

Music News / Fiona Dodwell review of "I Am Not A Dog On A Chain" (4/5 stars, March 9, 2020)

Morrissey Central "Live at Leeds" (March 8, 2020)

I sometimes miss some of the context behind messages in these threads as I tend to dip in and out. And I didn’t realise you can post anon AND with a ‘handle‘ since the latest update. im sure it was is worth the admission price just for Benny to tell people he was there and how rubbish it...

Morrissey Central "Live at Leeds" (March 8, 2020)

i don’t believe for a minute that you were in attendance. You’ve been encouraging people to vote with their wallets for a long time - if it is even you. In fact,BtBB is an anon poster usually so I can only assume the account has been created as a copycat benny. Has it really come to this?

Morrissey Central "HONEY, YOU KNOW WHERE TO FIND ME" (March 4, 2020)

BMG reissues are usually plonked with an extra disc or two. I can only hope there’s plenty of extra stuff included in these latest re-releases. It’s only been just over a decade since the last SG and Maladjusted George Lucasings. I think it was mentioned BMG will reissue three Moz albums. Maybe...

Dog on a Chain review in Record Collector - 2/5

he did a lot of those talking heads shoes shows, but he’s been involved in some really sterling stuff - the Thick of It, Veep, Harry Hill to name a few. He’s a strange one because I’m pretty sure putting a review in Record Collector is gonna earn him chicken feed compared to what he’s been...

Dog on a Chain review in Record Collector - 2/5

I admire Quantick. He’s been involved in a lot of comedy shows I’ve enjoyed over the last 20 or so years. He’s entitled to his opinion, although the fact he’s reviewed the album is a little strange, given some of the history that’s already been touched on in this thread.
