"This Charming Morrissey – Gay Iconography" - Towleroad

True. I really meant "the least probable" of the possibilities.

"This Charming Morrissey – Gay Iconography" - Towleroad

Please do recall that he has been quoted before as stating that not all of his songs are written from his/a man's perspective, and that many of them can be taken as being sung from a female's POV. Not that I disagree about TCM, however, the only thing in it that can really be relied upon as...

"This Charming Morrissey – Gay Iconography" - Towleroad

Wow, they've taken some real liberties in claiming the themes in those songs as being "gay" ones. Part of the beauty of Moz's (particularly early) work was that it was its ambiguity. You could easily interpret any of the passages they quote as pertaining to heterosexuals as easily as you could...

Smiths #4 on Wall Street Journal list of 5 bands that should reunite

Give it a rest, won't you? I, personally, would only ever hope to see this as long as no new material were attempted.

TTY: To Me You Are A Work Of Art: Book launch info from editors; Foreword written by Morrissey

Re: TTY news: Book launch - 'To Me You Are a Work of Art' All other things aside, your idea that guest list access must be "earned" via years of hardship by queuing in poor weather (whilst being pierced by swords of the Roman Guard?) - is laughable.

TTY: To Me You Are A Work Of Art: Book launch info from editors; Foreword written by Morrissey

Re: TTY news: Book launch - 'To Me You Are a Work of Art' Aside from being a genuine, thoughtful and very kind gentleman, he is nothing close to a bore. And as far as not drinking, the Straight Edge Hardcore scene (unlike the Moz scene) has always been one of the best groups of fans, true to...

TTY: To Me You Are A Work Of Art: Book launch info from editors; Foreword written by Morrissey

Re: TTY news: Book launch - 'To Me You Are a Work of Art' I'm sure that's exactly how most people would describe your profession, whatever it may be.

Smiths Reference/Panel in Chrononauts Comic Book

Mark Millar (who created the comics Wanted and Kick-Ass which were later adapted to films) has included a panel on the Smiths in his latest comic Chrononauts.

Jaime King wears Moz shirt on People.com

I don't believe I've seen "The Morrissey you, the more I like you" phrase before...or did I miss it at some point?

Johnny Marr on his autobiography, admits he hasn't read Morrissey's - MOJO

IMHO, there wasn't a section in Autobiography on the Smiths, which was truly disappointing. It will be great to hear Marr's and Craig Gannon's (his biography is nearly done as well, though it will obviously only cover the portion he witnessed, but quite honestly I am sure) recollections.

Morrissey's 1990 visit to KROQ in Los Angeles (15 photos)

In 1990, a number of us waited patiently outside 106.7 KROQ studio's building for Morrissey to arrive. Most assumed he would be driving down into the underground parking and therefore lined the driveway holding banners and signs for him to see. However, the decision was made to simply pull up at...

Morrissey's 1990 visit to KROQ in Los Angeles (15 photos)

The first 2 photos are of the moment he trips/falls, the next is of the rush that slammed him into the glass doors, then a photo (through the glass) of him holding his head after hitting it (the tall man to his right coming the opposite direction is a friend that asked "Are you ok, Morrissey?"...

Morrissey's 1990 visit to KROQ in Los Angeles (15 photos)

Though I am not sure when the earliest arrivers got theres, I personally don't recall having to wait more than 2 hours or so between getting there and his arrival. Unfortunately, I lost contact with Jason around 20 years ago. As I stated, though, I am sure he wouldn't mind these being shared.
