    Morrissey A-Z: "Wide to Receive"

I love this one but find it frustrating too because it's so close to perfection but something is off... Maybe its the annoying repetition of "wide" in the end, or maybe I wish it was faster.

Las Vegas, NV - The Colosseum at Caesars Palace (Aug. 29, 2021) post-show

Has anyone mentioned how full these events have been? Are there lots of empty seats or closed off sections? Or is it packed houses?

Morrissey A-Z: "Satan Rejected My Soul"

I love this one, but the last minute—of a 3 minute song—is just wasted I think (so many variations on "pull me in"). A third verse or something would have made it perfect IMHO.

An REM thread for r.e.m. stuff

A friend of mine has been rediscovering R.E.M. (He's 51). He was into them in high school and saw them play at the Hanner Fieldhouse in Statesboro, Georgia on November 19, 1986. I thought it would be nice for him if I could find a bootleg of that show for him. Any chance that there is a...

Morrissey A-Z: "My Hurling Days Are Done"

I love the title, the tune, and most of the lyrics ... but the line "mama and teddy bear were the first full firm spectrum of time" always bugs me. I think I know what he's saying (my mum and teddy were the first things I bonded with and thus feared losing). It just sounds clunky to me.

Morrissey A-Z: "Lifeguard Sleeping, Girl Drowning"

Good song on a great album but it's my least favorite song on V&I... I would have much preferred he switched this one out for the B-side "I'd love too"

    Morrissey A-Z: "Lady Willpower"

It might be my least favorite from California Son. It's not different enough from the original.

“Everyone Is Horrid Except Me (And Possibly You)” Gets Officially Released (May 11, 2021)

If there was a physical release (7", etc.) would you buy it? I'd be tempted to for sure, but I'd sort feel like I was stabbing Morrissey in the back

Off-topic discussion thread / moved as clogging other threads

I know this was mentioned earlier but I just caught the "First of the Gang to Die" episode of Mosquito Coast on AppleTV and was blown away. They practically played the entire song ... AFTER they discussed how great the Queen is Dead album is. It was pretty amazing to see that much Smiths/Moz on...

    Morrissey A-Z: "Interesting Drug"

New York Times: "‘Shoplifters of the World’ Review: Breaking Up Is Hard to Do" (March 25, 2021)

Is this only playing in LA and NYC? I can't find a theater anywhere near me that will be showing this (Atlanta, Charlotte, Greenville, etc). I'd really like to see it on the big screen

Morrissey A-Z: "Honey, You Know Where to Find Me"

It's silly I know but still I love how he flips the lyrics at the end with "you find how to know me."
