Alain Whyte: Safe-At-Home Sessions Redux (dates vary)

A completely new recording of the previously released acoustic Safe-At-Home sessions song, I Am Hated For Loving. This new version features improved audio compared to the original so as to match the others in the series. The song was original studio recording of the song is a co-write with Morrissey and first appeared on 1994's Vauxhall And I record.

A completely new recording of the previously released acoustic Safe-At-Home sessions song, Crossroads. This new version features improved audio compared to the original so as to match the others in the series. The original studio version of this tune appeared as the 4th track on the debut solo release, The Experiment EP.

Entirely new recording of the previously released acoustic Safe-At-Home sessions song, Sunny Days. This new version features improved audio compared to the original so as to match the others in the series. Sunny Days will be featured on the upcoming Tell Me EP and will feature the full band (Gary Day, Spencer Cobrin, Craig Gannon).

Entirely new version of Mute Witness with better audio. The song is originally from 1991's Kill Uncle record, written by Clive Langer/Morrissey. We played this song extensively during the early 90's and the fans loved it. It's a tough one to play and sing to. Hope you like this new version done specifically for the Safe At Home sessions.

The new acoustic Safe At Home sessions version of A Swallow On My Neck. Another fan favorite co-written with Morrissey. The original version of the song was a b-side on the Sunny single.

FWD.

That's cool but probably challenging in the current climate. Does todays government announcement help?

Kind of. It's very to the wire. We ran out of money completely in the Summer & after a lot of pleading they bailed the buildings out but there's a lot of redundancies, some shut companies & freelancers (actors, designers etc.) are struggling to get any support.

But we keep planning things!

Tough going, hope it all works out positively for you.

This was one of my favourite sets over the last few months and Peter was playing about 100m from my house!

Yep, enjoyed watching that. Hooky is a huge influence in my Sons bass playing with the Joy Division sound using the Clone Theory effects peddle.
Never get sick of hearing him rehearse when he comes home from uni.
Hope you and the family are ok and coping in these difficult times Surface.

All good Benny, bit of a challenge with eldest wanting to home from Uni a bit too often, to see here mates round here. Trying to get on with life in a safe way, off for a couple of pints tonight at The Drum and Monkey as they have turned their bowling green into a big outdoor area with a huge bedouin tents.

How are you?

Updated on first page as and when...
FWD.

Whilst most of the new vids have already been shared above (Thanks, FWD) and the "re-sharing" of the playlist on Al's social media accounts is mainly aimed at those that missed them the first time around, there was a brand new version of Ask added that replaced the original that had inferior audio.

If anyone is interested, here ye be...

When they're finished, I was going to add them all at once (the daily additions thing was getting a bit meh). There are enough place keepers to add another 40 vids in the OP. I archive the video, but don't know if the audio of all these will appear from myself. The playlist helps.
Cheers,
FWD.

Cool... thanks! Totally get the tediousness of the daily posting. Trust me, I know ;)
If I recall, there are roughly 55 total vids in the sessions at this point. A couple of requests from the first round have been done and will be added at the end.
