Come on, let's stop talking about videos and jpegs of isolated whack jobs that just happen to support McCain or Obama. This is nothing but a weakly transparent distraction from discussing real policy issues about which side is qualified to represent our country.

This, according to McCain supporters, is the person most qualified to be vice president of the United States:

http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008/10/23/palin_on_defensive_as_scrutiny_rises/

In the interview with KUSA-TV in Denver, Palin said the vice president is like a "teammate" to the president. "But also, they're in charge of the United States Senate, so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes," she added.

While the vice president presides over the Senate and breaks tie votes, the position comes with no official policy-making power.

The website Politico.com reported that the Republican National Committee spent $150,000 on clothes and accessories for Palin, including $75,063 at Neiman Marcus in Minneapolis before the party's national convention, and $49,426 at Saks Fifth Avenue in St. Louis and New York. Politico also said that its review of financial disclosure reports for Democrat Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee turned up no similar spending.

Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid Wednesday, reacting to Gov. Sarah Palin's comments that the vice president is ''in charge of'' the U.S. Senate, said that the Alaska governor ''obviously knows absolutely nothing'' of the U.S. Constitution.

''It's obvious that she doesn't know anything about the Senate,'' Reid said of Palin. ''The Vice President votes in case of a tie -- which happens rarely, rarely -- and other than that, has ... nothing to do with the Senate or the voting. In case of a tie, they can preside over the Senate -- but that happens rarely itself.''

''She obviously knows absolutely nothing about our Constitution or our country,'' he said.

Palin made the comments Tuesday during an interview, in which she was asked a question from a third grader named Brandon about the role of the vice president.

And this is the moral fiber of John McCain. No stabbings or youtube videos of his supporters, but the actual man:

And as George Bush pointed out during the 2000 election, McCain was one of the Keating Five:

And before someone accuses me of rehashing boring old stuff, there was some interesting news today:

http://www.democracynow.org/2008/10/24/headlines

Former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan told CNN’s D.L. Hughley he’ll also be voting for Obama. “From the very beginning, I’ve said I’m going to support the candidate that has the best chance of changing the way Washington works and getting things done. I will be voting for Barack Obama.”

GOP Loses Voter Challenges

Meanwhile, Republicans have been dealt new setbacks in seeking to block thousands of people from voting on Election Day. The website AlterNet.org reports Republicans lost court challenges in three key states Thursday. In Ohio and Wisconsin, judges rejected suits seeking a re-certification of those voters whose records don’t match other government databases. And in Nevada, a judge denied a Republican attempt seeking to prevent voters from correcting registration information at the polls.

jamescagney, i completely agree with you but since the title of this thread is "are McCain fans insane" I feel like I should post videos like this. b/c unfortunately, these aren't isolated whackjobs. there are ALOT of them. I've seen numerous videos like this

I just read that a McCain campaign advisor sent in an absentee ballot for Obama. i cant find the article now though! dammit...

Where is the option for "Only those who post the same stupid videos on a Morrissey forum..." ?

Looks like the average attendee's IQ is about equal to they're shoe size. I think it's interesting so many of them saying Obama's a socialist (I doubt most of them know what the word means.), as if Bush isn't subsidizing the ultra-rich and multinationals. I guess it's only socialism if you're actually helping people with legitimate needs.

Only a complete idiot fails to see the problem our country is headed towards. The US population is increasing exponentially. There isn't enough money to go around, and the gap between rich and poor keeps getting larger and larger.

There are only 2 solutions.

Forced Population Control or Forced Economic Control

Sooner or later we'll have to chose between one or the other.

Right now, Taxing the rich to pay for increasing socio-economic reform is the best option.

Since this thread seems to be wrapping up, it looks like the final poll results are that Obama supporters outnumber people with brain damage 8 to 1. :guitar:

And so that this isn't an entirely gratuitous thread bump, here's some new events:

There are no red countries left on Earth. Not one country on the planet Earth prefers to vote Republican / John McCain over Obama. Heres' the map:

http://www.foreignpolicy.com/gallup/

Of course, the liars at Faux News spin it this way instead, trying for a last-minute gratuitious bump for McCain:

http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/23/poll-percent-french-prefer-mccain/

Poll: 1 Percent of French Prefer McCain

A new poll shows that in France, just 1 percent of people think John McCain should win the White House. In Germany, McCain's support isn't much stronger. Five percent of those polled supported the Republican nominee.

Another survey by Reader's Digest that found Obama was the preferred candidate in 16 of 17 countries. The only country to prefer McCain: the United States.

????? Poll shows the US prefers McCain, what a joke. Almost no polls nowadays show McCain being preferred in the US.

And another question. Why is McCain resorting to outright lying? He is telling people that Obama will raise taxes, when the truth is Obama will lower taxes practically as much as McCain will for at least 95% of Americans. McCain chooses to cherry pick just three words, "spread the wealth," rather than what is really in Obama's economic policy.

McCain is even stealing Obama's arguments, saying that Obama is going to "double down" on "Bush's failed policies," months after Obama used the exact same phrases to indict McCain.

I believe most of the people that support John McCain are doing so for the wrong reasons.

McCain rally live on the tv right now.

still talking about Joe the f***ing Plumber. seriously. i can't believe it. no, yes I can. he needs to let joe go. LEAVE JOE ALOOOOOOONE!

so let me get this right this isnt about chips ???

straight_img.jpg

McCain makes chips too? And here I thought they only made french fries. ;)

You could dip your McCain chips in Heinz ketchup for a real bi-partisan meal.

That clip you showed proved that American's should be forced to take an intelligence test before being allowed to vote (especially in Florida where some voters can't even read a ballot paper correctly:rolleyes:)

Why the American anger towards 'Communism'? Like this year has been one hell of a success for capitalism and the banking industry in particular......, that's right, lets f*** the commies and keep the great American way of life that is currently bankrupt.
