"The story is old / í know / but..." it's now available to download.

First broadcast in 2012, repeated on the 26th of January inst.

"The wild swan's death-hymn took the soul / Of that waste place with joy / Hidden in sorrow: at first to the ear / The warble was low, and full and clear; / But anon her awful jubilant voice, / With a music strange and manifold, / Flow’d forth on a carol free and bold; / As when a mighty people rejoice / With shawms, and with cymbals, and harps of gold... "

Those damn shawms still kill me.

.

The story is old / I know / but time will never erase the marks they left in musical history
Their exceptional beauty was too fragile for longevity.
And yet, it lives on forever, in our minds, in our hearts.
Once drawn in, you'll never be the same person again.

Thanks for posting Joe.
Strangeways definitely sounds as their most timeless album.
As if it could have been released last year.
