Killers UP, The Game DOWN.

But...but....but....The Killers have a KILLER album!
I can't refute much of what you say, except I love playing their CD. At the end of the day, if the songs are good, they're good, and their album is good from beginning to end. Calling someone a "poseur" doesn't mean all that much because what pop band are not posing? You could attack any band on that basis if you were so inclined. Posing is part of what pop music is about. The question is whether you like their pose or not.
As far as The Game, I find his name completely irritating. No one should be named THE anything. How retarded. I heard his album and I like the track that samples the great NWA (gangsta! gangsta!), but the album has a pathetic by-the-numbers feel and The Game's lyrics are not interesting at all. Dr. Dre returning to his playbook, assembling all the "in" producers, and out spits another star rapper (complete with backstory of gunshot wounds) from the Aftermath conveyor belt. I'd prefer if Ice Cube and Dre put their egos aside and did another album together, with the Snoop Dogg on board as well.
