Hand in glove 7" price?

How much is a fair price to pay for Hand in Glove 7" with Manchester address?

The condition will dictate the price, but it usually ranges from £20 to £40

Believe it or not, but they are ten-a-penny in Manchester. The London ones go for much more than the Manc ones....

Or, maybe, most people don't give a toss - no more than 10 quid.

Please direct me to the 'ten a penny' shop. Where today can I buy one for ten pounds or less? I have been to every vinyl shop in Manchester city centre and the ones I know in south Manc (which is probably all of them)... Eager to buy one today so await your response.

If you flick through the 7" box at King Bee in Chorlton on a regular basis you will see more Smiths singles than they bother to list on their website http://www.kingbeerecords.co.uk/kingbee_records_manchester_music.htm... unsurprisingly they have the Manchester one a lot, I wouldn't pay more than £10 for one. I know a dealer who tried to sell them a collection and tried to argue for more cash for the Manchester one... King Bee's response was 'there's nothing special about it'.

And in terms of the web:

Nearly £10, this was £12 last week http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/THE-SMITHS-ha...dZViewItemQQptZUK_Records?hash=item3efd1b3f87

And this £13.50 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/The-Smiths-7-...dZViewItemQQptZUK_Records?hash=item45f105b1f4

This was £10 plus p&p from USA http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/the-SMITHS-1s...ewItemQQptZMusic_on_Vinyl?hash=item19b9d26890

If you look at sold prices then you will also see that someone has listed a Manchester single twice with a buy it now of £20 and no one has bothered... so I'd suggest the 'market' doesn't support £20 for this single.

Ideally, what you need is a seller who doesn't know the difference, ask a few questions, and buy it. Cheaply :)

As an eBay Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
I bought a copy in a London record shop for £10 last year (haggled down from the £15 asking price). Later sold it by auction for £8.50 (at ebay) . Make of that what you will (and I don't mean my lack of sound business skills) :blushing:

As with all records you have to pay to get the best.

Having explored the options I would expect to pay around £30 for a truly excellent copy with excellent sleeve.
Most of the stuff on ebay isn't described properly. Excellent will be very good if you are lucky.

I look forward to Bobby listing his pristine copy on ebay over the next week or so. Buy it Now £30.

Oh well, a few days back a Manchester Address copy in EX- condition both vinyl and sleeve went for £ 10.50 on E Bay. :thumb:
