I smiled all the way through my Literary Criticism class last night, because we were discussing Marxist criticism, and the two students who presented the material are complete converts now. I wanted to recommend the book to them. I still may.

The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists is one of the best - and saddest - books I've ever read Its a shame that Robert Tressell never lived to see the impact his book had. It inspired many a socialist.
