I should know this, but who was the boy who wrote the play 'William' about the Smiths? And what is he doing now? I don't think they even mentioned his name in the TV clip.

Also is any more footage of Morrissey/Marr/ The Smiths recording 'Meat is Murder' LP available. Was it that they were recording (with the green background) in 'I love 1984'?

Yes, there is more footage. But as Simon Goddard mentions in his new book, the band were simply miming as the album had already been recorded.
