"José" - Morrissey Central (21st December)

That’s the baffling thing, he’s proven and his methods work, as long as the players buy into it, which they clearly didn’t. It is arguable wether his pragmatic style fit the United mould, but he’s the serial winner amongst the group, most of those players have never even won a league title, besides Matic, who did so under Mourinho (at Chelsea)!
But I’m a fan too, I really hope he goes to Germany, will be an easy bundesliga title added to his illustrious CV, then maybe PSG one day, Jose could rack up titles in no time in some of Europe’s other elite leagues. His legacy is set in stone anyway, what he done with Porto & Inter was remarkable, and Chelsea for that matter.
Jose is a disgrace, always defensive, always blaming someone else but himself. It’s all ego.
His career is over now, thank God, and thanks very much for some of the worst football in modern history.
Let’s hope Solksjaer can bring the joy and excitement back to Manchester. God knows the fans deserve it.

Some striking similarities to your hero.

I wouldn't go as far as calling him a disgrace, but he has been boring everyone to death for a good couple of years now.
Let's face it, he was never going to be a 'United manager', his approach to the game is very much at odds with the traditions of the club.
The board made the decision to sacrifice style and flair in the hope of a quick return, they have tried twice and failed twice.
It is clear now that United's problems are not going to be resolved overnight, the issues are much wider than just the manager, so let's hope they have learned their lesson now and they appoint a manager true to the traditions of the club, and they allow him to build an exciting/attacking team, even if that means having to wait a fair few years before we win the league again.

Yes, but he has always played negative football everywhere he went. Even at Real Madrid, with the best squad you could hope for, he would only react and wait for the opponent to make a mistake.

You’re right, they need to appoint a manager true to the nature of the club. Giggs should have been the man. Klopp could have been great, or Pep. But no way José.
For now Solksjaer is good enough, the only way is up.

You don’t win 8 leagues titles with 4 different clubs, in 4 different countries, by being boring, or a flash in the pan. His Chelsea & Real Sides broke all kinds of records for most points & goals in a season. Wasn’t that long ago he won the league in his second spell at Chelsea, and even at his worst brought (some) silverware to Utd. He could do with a year out to recharge, he looks like a tired man. I look forward to his return and to see him winning again.

His Chelsea side, yes, but not at Madrid
PS
“Give it to Giggsy” is a local pisstake. No one at united wants him. No one.
New manager and then get rid of the out of Towners, get the atmosphere back.

You clearly know f*** all about football, he won La Liga with 100 points and about 130 goals scored lol. His boring tag is unjust and casuals like you have just latched onto it. He’s had about 3 dull seasons in his whole career.
Ps, giving the job to giggs now is out the question, too much repair work to do, would’ve been a decent fit straight after sir Alex, or keep him on when he was interim after moyes. Was a very popular choice with large sections of the fans at the time.

I’ll say it again. He’s about as popular in Manchester as Jose.

Dunno if Giggs is still playing or learning for a team coach, Ryan would be my choice in the future to build up a better team, as AJAX use the players who played their whole youth there, after all Mourinho wasn't that bad, the team is not doing well, and they ditch the team coach, happens a lot since football went commercial, have a great weeknd all...

He’s in charge of the welsh national team. I wouldn’t recommend him for the Utd job now. not after 3 failed managerial reigns, from moyes, Van Gaal & Jose, too much debris to sift thru an repair work to do. Would’ve deffo liked to see him continue on from Sir Alex. But for now, it’s Ole, and let’s see how we get on today, 10/10’s all around and pogba Man Of The Match, no doubt!

The players are at least as good as Liverpool’s.
It’s just the coach that f***ed up.
Let’s hope things will turn around now.

Did moyes f*** up too? And van Gaal? You’ve got two of the most prolific winners in Jose and Van Gaal, and they couldn’t get a tune out of that crop of players. We lost our core when sir Alex left, vidic, Ferdinand, scholes, carrick, Van persie, they haven’t been replaced, and that’s what untied were always good at, replacing like for like, seamless transistions. Liverpool have the miles better squad! You’d take Van Dijk & Gomez over any of Utds centre back pairings, Liverpool’s full backs are unreal too! We don’t even have any natural recognised fullbacks, besides Dalot, who tbf looks promising. We don’t even have any wingers lol, and our centre forward is absolutely shit.

MU needs better players, not just a New coach and i think Pogba isn't the worst.

Remember PSG in febuary

Agreed. And we have no chance against PSG unless there’s a massive upturn in form in the next few months. Maybe a few signings in jan tho not sure how much freedom Ole will be given to spend, even then getting decent players in that will be eligible to play in the UCL is unlikely. Not sure what the odds are on PSG to go thru, but they should be about 1/5

Well of course they f***ed up too.
Van Gaal spent 250 M to build a squad but he just wasn’t the right man for the club. José likewise.
With a good manager there will be good times ahead for United. Still the biggest club in the UK for me.
