Right now BBC London's Robert Elms is doing his weekly slot of 4-Fa (four favourite tracks of a chosen artist / band), this week is Kirsty MacColl who was tragically taken away from us exactly 10 years ago today.

RIP.

And even if you don't know her name, you've heard her winsome voice in songs from The Smiths, Morrissey, Talking Heads, and most notably, on The Pogues' "Fairytale of New York," which has become a holiday standard. It was ten years ago today (December 18) that we lost Kirsty MacColl in a senseless, tragic boating accident in Mexico. She was only 41....
