Hate to say this, as a fan, but times caught up with Moz, he's tired, finished! Sorry but that's the truth, you were good in your time!

Great footage, looks like there were a lot of youngsters there. Love the reverse camera at 5.33, looks manic.

I'd say. :squiffy:

I am a consumer. Either the cultural product satisfies or not. I thought WPINOYB was excellent so I'm deciding whether or not to go to the Birmingham concert. Is it worth it as a consumer experience? Or for the amusement value of watching him sing 'Meat Is Murder' whilst digesting Cheese?

Why is critically analysing these performances so enraging for you? Why don't you provide your own meta-narrative of positivity about Morrissey instead of bellyaching about my perspective? Of course, Morrissey is renowned for taking the trouble to 'spread some positivity', isn't he? *smirks* What about Morrissey's 'negative nonsense' referencing suicidal poets before the show starts and showing torture/slaughter porn to bolster his absurd position on animal welfare/rights?

There are many artists whose work and public performances I have found congruent. Most recently that would include Kate Bush and Kraftwerk. It used to include Leonard Cohen until the facts about his Zen sex abuse guru surfaced, now he's on the suspect list alongside Morrissey.

So, instead of bitching about me, why don't you register a profile and provide your detailed arguments as to why you think Morrissey is still a compelling figure rather than a pantomime villain/troll clown? I can't wait to read it.

Well, where do I start ? First I should perhaps make clear that I am not a Moz fanboy. To me he is an artist that I loved in my
youth. As I got older I felt I outgrew his worldview and couldn't connect. Last year I saw him live and was reminded what a
wonderfully eccentric artists he is. I was also reminded that he is a great crooner. I don't give a flying f* about his opinions.
Like most adults I have my own and don't rely on artists to define my world.

Critically analysing ? I would really enjoy some genuine critical analysis but most of your posts read like the stubborn rehashed
arguments of a nutter. Cheese, cheese, cheese. We understand your argument but why must the same point be made over and
over again ? Your posts don't enrage me, they bore and disturb me.

It's odd that you use Morrissey's negativity as a justification for your own. Surely if you dislike him that much why not just
bugger off this site ? You already came to that conclusion but couldn't stop posting. Why ? Go hang out with other fish people.
Kate is a national treasure. There are loads of Zen sex abuse gurus out there what has that got to do with
Cohen as an artist ?

I think Morrissey is compelling as a singer of songs. A crooner. As an artist with unique opinions. Do I agree with them all ?
No. Do I think he spouts crap sometimes ? Yes. So do I. You certainly do ! I'm really glad he exists as an artist, that he
wrote Asleep and songs that moved me. I don't expect more. If you expect more from an artist IMO you are lost. You are
like the student still seeking the guru. You sound too clever to waste time posting nonsense here.

dont't you think that clever person should recognize and admit having a problem and seek help? i also see distorted character living 'under the radar' of competent institutions who give help.

but this part of forum is dedicated to one brilliant and controversial man's tour, isn't it?

An especially impertinent response, even by the standards of this site. If you don't care about his opinions why are you discussing a critical analysis of his opinions? I also don't take my moral compass from disturbed entertainers. I'm not sure how you can be both bored and disturbed by my opinions if they dont' even engage you. Clearly they do, hence your illogical rant.

What makes you so sure I am in a negative state? Debunking and ridiculing Morrissey's nonsense is both amusing and invigorating. I'm watching The Voice, drinking vegan wine and it's really no big deal to type random replies to random anonymous bitchings such as offered by yourself.

Leonard Cohen has failed to account for his role as secretary and chef to his utterly discredited 'guru'. If you don't think that ignoring a sex pest is relevant to discussing his art then that's your moral bankruptcy, not mine. Kate is indeed a national treasure and holds exactly the place in the nations' esteem that Morrissey thinks is his by right and which he squandered any claim to by his pantomime villain ravings about royals, meat is murder, chinese sub-species racist outbursts and all the rest of his car-crash career meltdown.

If you dislike my comments, why don't you just bugger off and not read them. Certainly desist from further impertinent replies. I do not suffer fools gladly, in fact I don't suffer them at all. You are dismissed.

With respect Surface are you sure ?

He's retracted this nonsense. It was just an hallucination.

Hilarious, but slightly desperate. Having no rational response to my comments, the shrill shriekers insist I must be mentally ill. No, you lot are mentally ill. You are part of a cult and your cult leader, Morrissey, fits many of the criteria for sociopathy. Still, he's part of a cheese-eating sub-species so we should merely pity him as he is right now probably bleating his way through 'Meat Is Murder' with a bullet of cheese putrefying in his gullet.

This part of the forum is indeed dedicated to Morrissey's tour. However, your comment is a pointless troll interruption.

It got pretty wild- I have bruises

Jesse spent a fair amount of time at the edge of the stage (don't recall him doing that a lot before) and a shirtless maniac almost invaded the stage and grabbed him. They got him just in time and I almost couldn't watch. Early on about 4 kids were carried out, one completely passed out.

Wow, your arrogance knows no bounds. You really do not doubt your opinions at all ?

> why are you discussing a critical analysis of his opinions?

What I said was I am not defined by artists opinions. I think Moz spouts some crap sometimes but I've read
interviews with him where I think he sounds honest and truthful. So I like to read his opinions and his contradictions
do not bother me. They make him more human. Once again, I would enjoy a critical analysis of his opinions
but your posts are not a source of this.

Do you not accept the fact that most people who post here are not defined by Morrissey and his outpourings ?
That most are not fanboys hanging on his every word ? Why is it so hard for you to understand
that the vast majority of his audience just like the music ?

> Debunking and ridiculing Morrissey's nonsense is both amusing and invigorating

Really ? It may be for you. But you don't really debunk, you simply repeat the same tired endless arguments
tailored to each new situation. You may as well just start every topic with:

Cheese.
Half empty venue.
Car crash career.

Moz and now Cohen. You really expect a lot from your cultural icons don't you ? Why is that ?
Do you have such high standards yourself ?

I doubt my opinions and revise them in respnse to intelligent responses which stimulates debate. This would not include your further insolent missive.

I don't 'expect' anything from so-called 'cultural icons' as I do not recognise the concept. Whilst Herd Culture may take such claims at face value I see no reason to.

Yes, I have high standards which includes not labelling others as guilty of 'murder' whilst engaging in exactly equivalent behaviour by eating Cheese. Nor do I ignore sex pests in my environment which Cohen appears to have done. Now, move on. Stop with your foolish attempts to debunk my debunking of capitalist music entrepreneurs posing as 'cultural icons'.

> Stop with your foolish attempts to debunk my debunking of capitalist music entrepreneurs posing as 'cultural icons'.

But once again your answer avoids answering the main question. Don't you agree that most people don't take everything Moz or
Cohen say as gospel but simply enjoy the music ? Why then do you think anyone but you considers your so called "debunking"
necessary ? It is you that takes him too seriously. I think the disturbing aspect of your posts is how you see yourself as some arch
debunker here to enlighten the lost masses. That is seriously sad and disturbed.
