assuming he sings/tells the truth about him
and the people he fancies are still alive

are they (see poll above for options)


and if they are (deaf, blind, dull, have no sense of humour /wit, are even more shy than I am


so, then why does he fancy them?
(unless these are things that tickle his frink recepticles)

Or (Im tending to suppose that this is the case)
he is really so criminally shy that they won't ever realize it?

he falls in love with people & later realizes sth he cannot accept,
(flesh eaters, fans of madonna eaters)
so he decides to abstain

Wasn't there an interview quite early on when he said all his love songs were written purely from imagination, something along those lines... No, I don't believe him either. I think he knows that noone will be good enough - better to idealise people, keep them forever on black and white record sleeves or in songs than to squeeze them etc..
