Morrissey Central: "MORRISSEY, THE MIDDLE EAST." (December 3, 2019)

"To Morrissey, With Love" is the name of a photography exhibition opening on Friday 6th December at the Elham Art Gallery in the city of Ras Al Khaimah in United Arab Emirates. Elham Gallery has stated:

" (this) response from us at the gallery, and the artistic community in Ras Al Khaimah, is because we have been following with shock and concern the unjustified hate campaigns from media towards Morrissey. We have decided to stand by Morrissey, as his Muslim friends, to acknowledge that we are aware of him as a true and passionate friend, and to tell the world that we know he's not our enemy or hater, and we dedicate a group exhibition to him as thanks for being brave against this cruel and hypocritical world."

The Gallery also state that no animal products will be available at the Exhibition.

The Dali Lama has publicly spoken against immigration and/ or mass immigration for everyone ( check him out on YT).What’s baffling is that other people get verbally attacked for speaking about regulation of immigration, the affects on the country the people are leaving and the affects to the country they are moving to, and what it does to culture. If the Dali Lama says it- he is not considered racist, but if others say the same thing they are racist.Btw I don’t think M has a problem with Muslims, he has a problem with Islamic extremists ,which is valid. People here don’t seem to know the difference.
I'm going to break my rule and reply to an "anonymous."
I have NEVER said Morrissey was racist. I said he was xenophobic. It's a different thing.
The Dalai Lama has the respect and attention of much of the world because his nation is being squeezed out of existence by China, a nation that most people find it necessary to deal with but don't really approve of when it comes to their human rights and other abuses.
I don't think the religious aspect of his position is what makes him important but he is a religious leader and they do tend to get away with more.
Discussion of the Dalai Lama is irrelevant anyway. Morrissey has said more things that indicate he does see people according to their race and while he is not the sort of racist to burn a cross on someone's lawn he has definitely made racist comments. Let the Pope or the Dalai Lama say that "whites and blacks will never get along" and I guarantee it won't be ignored.
M said that halal slaughter is "approved by ISIS" which equates all Muslims with a terror organization. When you make those kind of remarks, no matter what you "really" mean you can't expect people to spend their valuable time sorting through it and if you're tagged with an unfair label like "racist" it's you're own fault.

YouGov. And if it's escaped your attention then you know nothing about UK politics.
Yes, "YouGov is a global public opinion and data company" But who are they? Did you see the actual questions in the poll? Do we really trust these polling companies? Are they here to gather information or shape public opinion?

The industry trusts it. There's literally nothing you can Google that will make that not the case.

"The industry" meaning what? I'm confused, Karen. Why did this company that pays people to take surveys hoping to "get your opinion featured in the news" suddenly become the issue?
I just feel that this is not the way to get the "average" citizen's opinion. You're going to get unemployed, and possibly unemployable, people who need some quick cash to get a bottle of Frosty Jack's or people who have a burning need to get back at some organization. And, again, the way the questions are phrased can make a huge difference.
We don't know who took the surveys. We don't know what the questions were. We don't know who wrote the questions or why, and yet "the industry" trusts this company? And you trust the industry?
Sorry, @reelfountain, I mean Karen, but I'm afraid that this "yougov" company has some 'splainin' to do.

I think you have to explain why you're bothering to post about UK politics without knowing the basics.

You need to tell them that - because their use of anti-semitic tropes & the abuse they heap on anyone who points it out is bringing the Labour Party into serious disrepute. And no matter how often we send out reminders, they keep doing the same thing. It's not even whack-a-mole at this point, it's all the moles screeching that they're actually squirrels. In unison.
Running the banks, the media, the judiciary, Hollywood, television, publishing, the porn and sex toy industry... but woe betide anyone who dares to criticize them.

Wake up.

WTF?? Moz said that ALL Muslims are a terror organization because halal is approved by ISIS. WTF??????:squiffy:
the dalai lama is irrelevant and you have a NO ANON policy. that explains why you respond at length to anons and then proceed to carry on ad nauseum about the old gent lama.

are you attending the mini mao school of incoherent logic?

Woe betide? With any other minority group it wouldn't have reached this stage, because no one would even dream they could get away with that level of prejudice.

Since there isn't a single boast in my quote, I take it you think it's a great strategy. So thanks for the compliment.
To be compared to someone who so quick to fling tantrums does make me laugh. Where the loser crybaby Hoffman gone too? Has a Hope Not Hate operative exposed his and Reelfountain's cover online.

The group who suffer the most open prejudice in the UK are the white working class. They're at the bottom of the heap. No laws exist that protect or favour them. No boxes-ticking exercises exist to provide them with jobs or housing over other groups. Globally, the most victimised and murdered religious group are Christians. There is no invented politicised term for being anti-Christian - no equivalent to 'anti-semitism' - a term cried vociferously and applied like a weapon whenever anybody criticises a Jewish person for whatever reason.

Powerful Jews pull the victim card victim while holding all the reins of power and promoting degeneracy and division among Western nations. They want us separated into bickering groups and our children f***ed in the head with LGBT, pornography, sex toys and polysexuality and array of optional identities. Their claim of victimhood is a trick that works well on the gullible - it's certainly worked on yourself. Try applying some critical thinking sometime. In fact apply it the Jews' claims of victimhood. I can guarantee you that within two minutes their claims will topple to dust.

You don't have defame & demonize another group to highlight your own problems. It's perfectly possible to champion the white working-class & the global Christian community without it.

You haven't addressed a single thing I've said. Jews play victim, Christians are globally victimised and don't. The UK's white working class at the bottom of the heap can complain all they like but the media ignores their concerns.

In other words, some groups suffer real discrimination but all we hear about is anti-semitism from wealthy powerful Jews whenever their power is criticized.

That's a point that you are swerving.

I'm not remotely swerving it. Your best strategy is to concentrate on your own concerns, rather than alarming people with distorted versions of other people's lives. Michael Collins (I think that's the right name) wrote a great book about the history of the white working-class, 'The Likes of Us'. Class may have been abandoned before the crash, but it's back on the agenda now.

I read that book when it was released in 2004, watched the programme shortly afterwards and incidentally re-read the book only a few months back. It's a good (if totally forgotten) book that backs up my argument that the working class are the ones who are treated like shit in the UK above everyone else, and have no voice that the media are interested in airing. Whereas phony anti-semitic claims are everywhere in the media and backed up by some powerful and well-moneyed organisations.

Jews are mostly high-wage earners. That's the real reason many of them are terrified of the thought of Mr C taking power - it's his tax reforms and national non-usury bank idea. They prefer the low-tax (and Friends of Israel) Tories, so in order to besmirch the socialist left they pull the victim card to whip up claims of discrimination - when it's those at the other end of the scale who are the true victims. This is the point that you are swerving.

One thing also, what are my own concerns? And why should I only concentrate on them? I don't quite get that. It's like saying: shut up and mind your own business. The media consensus seems to be that Jews are above criticism and you are breaking protocol if you draw attention to anything negative to do with them. You seem part of this biased consensus. Shut up and concentrate on your own concerns. Er, no, I won't.

Likewise, Karen. You moved. Caught right in the eye there. :whip:
