Morrissey Central: "MORRISSEY, THE MIDDLE EAST." (December 3, 2019)

"To Morrissey, With Love" is the name of a photography exhibition opening on Friday 6th December at the Elham Art Gallery in the city of Ras Al Khaimah in United Arab Emirates. Elham Gallery has stated:

" (this) response from us at the gallery, and the artistic community in Ras Al Khaimah, is because we have been following with shock and concern the unjustified hate campaigns from media towards Morrissey. We have decided to stand by Morrissey, as his Muslim friends, to acknowledge that we are aware of him as a true and passionate friend, and to tell the world that we know he's not our enemy or hater, and we dedicate a group exhibition to him as thanks for being brave against this cruel and hypocritical world."

The Gallery also state that no animal products will be available at the Exhibition.

Mr C criticized them and look what happened to him. Virtual crucifixion.

That's really not what's happening. He has a lot of dodgy fringe connections & they've come back to haunt him, that's all.

Funny how Christians have no weaponised word to throw at their detractors.

But then again Christianity is a bona fide religion, whereas Judaism is some kind of club where most of its members openly admit to being atheist.

Anti-Catholism, sectarianism, anti-clericism... we're not being persecuted in the UK right now, we're being quietly sidelined.

What an embarrassing exhibition as apparently no actual portraits of Morrissey! The artist/owner was flogging off paintings with Moz song titles with prices to flog the art!!

Yeah gamma boy nothing you highlighted there is "anti-semetic", which is a nonsense term made up at the turn of the century. Move along
So to understand better, you're saying that comments about "the Jews" are not antisemitic?
And are you also saying that antisemitic is a meaningless term anyway?

Wow! This exhibition has nothing to do with Morrissey and they trying to make money off his name!! Disgusting! Not one single Morrissey photo at his ‘exhibition’

I read that book when it was released in 2004, watched the programme shortly afterwards and incidentally re-read the book only a few months back. It's a good (if totally forgotten) book that backs up my argument that the working class are the ones who are treated like shit in the UK above everyone else, and have no voice that the media are interested in airing. Whereas phony anti-semitic claims are everywhere in the media and backed up by some powerful and well-moneyed organisations.

Jews are mostly high-wage earners. That's the real reason many of them are terrified of the thought of Mr C taking power - it's his tax reforms and national non-usury bank idea. They prefer the low-tax (and Friends of Israel) Tories, so in order to besmirch the socialist left they pull the victim card to whip up claims of discrimination - when it's those at the other end of the scale who are the true victims. This is the point that you are swerving.

One thing also, what are my own concerns? And why should I only concentrate on them? I don't quite get that. It's like saying: shut up and mind your own business. The media consensus seems to be that Jews are above criticism and you are breaking protocol if you draw attention to anything negative to do with them. You seem part of this biased consensus. Shut up and concentrate on your own concerns. Er, no, I won't.
Tax reforms??? You mean increased taxation. I'm not Jewish but I absolutely hate income tax and any govt that tries to increase. An inept establishment (the govt) just arbitrarily decide that they should be able to take more of the money that I earned for their programmed which are inevitably run poorly. Big govt? Yeah you can f*** right off with that.

What is the tax situation like in NZ?

Cannot imagine you paying more than us swedes. Socialists in Sweden have tried for 30 years now to balance out problems with more tax and it has back fired every time.

The Sweden Democrats are now the biggest party here and not even socialist gallup bureau's can deny it anymore.

The new conservative block of SD and The Moderates and The Christian Democrats is coming true and they are holding talks. In the middle of it the gorgeous babe who is the leader for the christians is divorcing her footballer husband in Uppsala.

Some bloke online described the reason for their split:

"She used to be a local politician in Uppsala then became a party leader. He used to be a famous footballer but now is retired. She is tired of driving around in a VW Tiguan with him".

LOL

Here is a 'taste' of the exhibition (looks like a small section of the hotel with space for the photos).
All the items appear to have Morrissey titles and some images are more directly linked to them (in a literal sense) than others.

Top tax rate in NZ is 33%, reduced from 39% by the last Conservative govt. Now you've got the lunatic left in power and you just know they are itching to hike it up again. Not forgetting you also pay tax on company income, fuel and everything else sold retail in the form of GST (our version VAT.)

Now we also have this doozy of a program in NZ called 'Working for Families' which gives tax credits back to people with children who sit under a certain earnings threshold. What this means in essence is that once they get their credits back 50% of the population is not paying any income tax at all, while, 25% of NZ'ers pay 80% of the income tax. But still Lefties yell 'tax the rich!' or 'You've got to pay your fair share.' What do they mean 'my fair share?' I'm already paying considerably more than my fair f***en share.

Ten years ago I went into business for myself, put my house on the line to get some things started and basically worked my ass off. Didn't even take a holiday for the first 2 years and there were some really stressful times and scary times. Now I'm doing well and accrued a decent number of assets and income the govt wants to step in and tell me I have to pay more, because 'my fair share' or some such shit. Tell me would the govt have stepped in to pay my mortgage if my businesses had gone under? Did they volunteer to pay for a locum so I could take a holiday in the those early years? No they did not, but now I'm doing well they seem to think they're entitled to a greater share of my wealth after contributing NOTHING to making it. This is where socialism and progressive leftist ideology does my head in. I take all the risk but then I have to split the rewards seventeen different ways.

Tax is theft. End of. Rant over. :lbf:

Yes tax on tax and everything we do comes with tax. NZ has a bit of catching up to do compared with Sweden but I hope you won't experience that.

Swedish lefties hate people like you with their own company and see them as criminals that cheat the state off tax. Olof Palme the traitor wanted to ban private ownership and wanted to force people to live in big house complexes and work in ONE giant factory.

We get fook all for the taxes we pay here. Health care is gone but we still have to pay for it. More holes in the road than in my tennis racket.

Lefties hate freedom and fun and they all look the same. I've recently realised you can tell if someone is a leftie from how they look. Most men have 70's haircuts and the hair has gone grey and they look with stupid cow eyes at you and sneer when you tell them that you did something exciting and positive.

Dead people with beating hearts.

In Sweden someone like you would be relieved of all that money and given scratch cards and a slap around the ear. I wish I was kidding.

No offence, but these are f***ing terrible. £600 for taking a snap and putting it in a frame. They really are truly bad. They're so bad that Sammy could do a better job, and that's saying summat. If this is art, my arsehole's gonna win the Turner Prize.

The exhibition was never meant to be photos of Morrissey, rather photographs inspired by his songs/lyrics.

This was clearly communicated in the exhibitions press release.

You clearly prefer to ignore facts and are just angling for any way - no matter how small - to have another petty dig at Morrissey.

Can your ‘life’ really be so empty?
