With these lyrics in mind, do you see THIS song being about Ms Sinatra ?
Considering previous speculation.......since SHE lost YOU ?
(daddy the drinker, daddy the womaniser, daddy the singer, daddy with friends in dark places.)
Obviously it's NOT about Jackie !

Who the f*** is this Jacky or Jackie everybody is talking about?

I never bang on about subdued crowd reaction at Morrissey gigs -- there are different atmospheres depending on myriad factors -- but bloody hell if this isn't a tranquilized bunch. Debates over new material aside, even the chainsaw intro to stone classic Speedway barely registered.

I thought the show was great, I stayed up all night to catch it. I liked the setlist, too. Morrissey may also have managed to convert me into a Pretenders fan, even though I loathe Chrissie Hynde's voice. Hearing Jacky's Only Happy When She's Up On The Stage and Home Is A Question Mark makes me more anxious for the album.

For me Jacky was plain awful, I could've done without the bland cover of Chain Gang as well...still mixed feelings here as usual. J/S.

I think 'i wish you lonely' will sound great on record, as will when you open your legs.

"On the New Statesman's new culture podcast, The Back Half, Tom Gatti and Kate Mossman discuss Morrissey's performance at 6 Music Live and David Simon's new TV show about the porn industry in New York in the 1970s, The Deuce. Plus, they celebrate the anniversary of the Garbage Pail Kids "

The reporters were at the taping and give their perspective on the performance and the ensuing controversy - neither are big Morrissey fans and were surprised by the "shitstorm" that followed the taping

Don't Leave Us In The Dark
I've just watched this all now tonight and I'm well happy with the new songs, especially Home Is A Question Mark and When You Open Your Legs. Damn good songs. Nice banter from Moz too apart from the UKIP comment that went down like a lead balloon, and possibly the 'free everyone from Spain' comment, but a great concert. I liked the version of Jack The Ripper and the 'I think I know you ' at the end. I am happy to say I am very much looking forward to the new album. I would say it will be fairly eclectic.

What shitstorm? The UKIP comment? Ffs you can't say anything to anyone these days. Pretty soon you won't be able to call Christmas Christmas. It's already called 'end of year party' in a lot of places just in case you insult those contrary crankfrauds who wake up in the morning waiting to be insulted. As a great man once sang "When I am king you will be first against the wall"
