Morrissey on BBC R4 front row 20th april

Decent interview and interviewer - they seem to get on - but he HAD to ask about Da Smiths again. Again?? As if there would've been some great tectonic shift in Morrissey's opinion since the 2009 interview.
Smart way, following the Johnny discussion, would've been "You won't reform The Smiths, we know that, but do you think you'd ever collaborate with Johnny again as a songwriter?" Done and dusted.

And while the interview was based around the release of the best of thing, not asking about new material? Oy vey.

Good job on probing about the biography though!

Morrissey's line about "6 pages" and "mating calls" made me laugh out loud. He's still got it.

Good interview, even if Wilson kept getting song titles slightly wrong! How awkward.

I'd like you to interview Morrissey, King Leer! This is the million-dollar question :D

That child killing quote is NOT in the version that aired. Why do journo's get to hear what we don't? Or do they just get a transcript handed to them cause they're too lazy to turn on the radio?

Sometimes journos don't have the time to sit, listen to a whole interview and then take the time to transcribe it plus allowing for words you sometimes can't make out. Transcripts are provided to speed up that whole process. More than likely if the article is going to take too much time to research and write before the deadline (so it stays topical and you can maintain the speed in which your competitors will get it out) it just won't be written. Transcripts are provided by places like the BBC (who want their programmes promoted) because it increases the chance of the story being picked up. It's not called churnalism for nuthin' you know. ;)
