Morrissey throws a heckler out of the Hamburg concert

Boz Boorer I wonder why some people are so disrepectful facebook.

and this reported on the front page..

Morrissey suggested Hamburgers should rename themselves as Hamburgists. Otherwise he has to consider calling us Hot Dogs. One idiot replied something like 'f*** you', and when M asked why, he whined 'because you said something bad about us'.

M suggested he should leave. 'Seriously, go! Leave!'. He was guided out of the venue... Fool.

I believe the lights went up at this point

Just came home, I even caught half of that on video.

"Somebody just shouted and told me to go f*** myself," he said. "Who said that?" And the guy, really smart move, goes, "Me!" "Why did you say that?" Holds out the mic to him. "Because you made a joke about us and I just..." So Moz starts telling him to leave and the light person to turn the lights up, and that was the point where I thought it was all gonna go off so I put my camera away. "I think you should just go," Moz says. "Go, my boy, walk, walk walk..."

Boz looked like he was going to eat him. He had to be physically held back by the others. "Why don't you just f*** off," Moz says. Someone escorts the heckler out. Moment over, this Hamburgist very relieved.

This whole tour is REALLY going to turn Moz off of touring, methinks :(

Which is a shame, as I've only gotten to see him once..:tears:

Sounds like the whole band are sick and tired of some of the twats they get in the audience.

exactly.

from the front page.....paradroid82
Apparently one "fan" understood Moz's remark as an insult and shouted something like "f*** off Morrissey". This led to a rant of Morrissey and Boz insulting the insulter back (Moz: "We don't need you. You can meet me outside! f*** off yourself. Goodbye! Go!") resulting in the guy being thrown out by security. Before he had unsuccessfully wanted to explain himself (Morrissey had handed him the mic). After the show I talked to a man standing nearby and he said it was all a big misunderstanding and the insulter actually was a big fan. Anyway, you don't say that to Morrissey!

I don't want to hear Morrissey swear.:( I swore for the first time in so many years at the Liverpool echo area gig, yelling at that idiot who threw the drink.

Fans?

Morrissey vs rude tossers, actually.

Quoted for f***ing truth...

Fail to see how anyone can find this actually funny.
If you'd been there, you probably wouldn't.

I know I didn't.

Moz asking for the lights to be turned on was one 'that was it'-moment I could live without.
Just as well as without seeing him and Boz pissed off.

What's it with this tour?

Some people are obviously in need of some 'think before you talk/act'-lessons =/

let us see the video please

Oh my :(

With is health problems and the lack of respect b some audience members , I'm afraid this may be his last tour :(

I just remembered the Zane Lowe interview where he said that the stage is freedom, his space, no one was going to interfere or to cut him off ...

Oh do grow up and take a look around you. It's hardly Eviangate, is it? Someone shouted. In a gig!

We don't need you. You can meet me outside! f*** off yourself. Goodbye! Go!"

I honestly can't imagine Moz saying that, it sounds like someone off the Jeremy Kyle show. If it's true then someone is beyond crotchety.

Having second thoughts on Liverpool, he really takes it out on this guy. :thumb: Hmm, the guy musta been a vegetarian.
Damn, kick him out? Really. Was he about to throw something?

So, lessee... no cameras, cups, bottles, beer or heckling. Got it.

obviously I havent seen the vid, but I sometimes think if moz spat in some people's face and insulted their mum they'd still go 'there there, never mind, isn't he lovely'.
He's NOT lovely (which is partly why I love him).
He hands the mic to people. Some people are idiots. Idiots say stupid things. Ever heard of freedom of speech?

Agreed. I hope he didn't say that.
It's not only about being physically fit enough to tour, it's being mentally prepared and willing too.

Throwing things should not be tolerated, make them leave.

Getting stroppy because a joke fails to go down well.. and Morrissey must have known everyone was afraid that was the end of the show. How to kill the mood.

How will he get an uninhibited up for it audience at the other gigs if they are on eggshells about what might "cause offense" next. Heckling from the floor is stupid. Bullying from the stage is unprofessional.
