I've been thinking of doing this for awhile but wanted a cover for it. Once I saw the stuff marred did for the WPINOYB singles, I knew it was time.

This is a compilation of every song Morrissey has covered since leaving The Smiths. Some of them only appeared on albums, others were performed partially and some as acappella introductions to concerts. As much as possible I've used high quality radio/soundboard versions. However, several songs were only performed once or twice and high quality source don't exist.

For me, this is a good companion to Skylarkers Nothing Ever Dies compilation of The Smiths songs Morrissey has performed.

A huge thanks to marred for the covers, Skylarker for the Never Heard Symphonies from which some of these songs were taken and the original tapers for sharing the music.

Enjoy, MR

Have I missed something?
There's a 5meg zip and no music!
Looks good though so thanks for everyone's effort. Any chances of the music files ;)
Cheers,
FWD

Yes thanks MR for doing this. I was happy to help out. There's a few on the list I wasn't even aware Morrissey had done covers of. What a shame we don't have Morrissey doing the entire song of "My Way". How great would that have been?

Hahaha. Nice work on the cover, marred. I love the choice of photos. :p

I am now basking in the warm glowing sunshine of a compliment from Queen CP! Now I'm off to pull some hen's teeth.

yes I am a smart arse :D

Great work! Thank you.

Although, two covers you've missed are::o

-"It's My Party" (show intro) 5/22/2012 in San Diego, CA
-"The People Have the Power" (sung before "Maladjusted") in Tel Aviv, July 2012

Great stuff!

One more addition is Industial schools by Damien Dempsey which was sung few lines in a cappella at Dublin 28th June 2008.

Yes there are a lot of samples and intros Moz has done in the past but my understanding is MozRec wanted a set list of as many full covers as he could. Starting off with the my way intro is a stroke of genius IMO.
