Moz loves Young The Giant - TrueToYou update

Having suffered with relish so much yes-but-no new music, I could break down with happiness at the new - debut - CD by Young The Giant. I will be kneeling with gratitude on a hardwood floor for many years to come. It is the whole thing ... it is the perfect tone ... and Sameer's voice is unbreakable.
If there is any justice in the world (and we all know there isn't) Young The Giant will own most of it by August. It's so easy to fire out remnants of snobbery where new music is concerned (in fact, I find it VERY easy), but once every three thousand years, a band comes along who restore that precious component of faith. Had I the gift of adequate words I would express more than mere thanks.
Instead, I shall leave it at that.

Watched some Youtube clips. He's certainly got a strong voice. Music is good.
For me, it's missing what Noel Gallagher well-articulated as something bordering on ridiculous that many great bands have.

In any case, if Young the Giant happens to read Morrissey's missive I'm sure they'll be very pleased...

I think this is the first time in over twenty years of following Morrissey that I have actually heard of and liked a band before he proclaimed his adoration. To have it happen is to me an affirmation of my good taste. Not that I needed any...but it's always nice to be in the company of Moz.

They will support Incubus. Incubus once made me physically sick when I had them in front of me at a stage at a festival. I had to sit down, put my ear plugs and and I wondered what it was about their music that caused this. Now of course I know.

I listened to "My Body", which has cool drums and the voice of The Killers singer.
The next song started with "I feel so cold", which is not quite encouraging. Maybe Morrissey would feel better if he watched less porn? A book on porn consumption of teenagers states that for those who watch a lot of porn the tongue stuck out widely out of the mouth is a "trade mark" because apparently they think that this is the way you kiss. If you do not watch porn, you might wonder why he sticks his tongue so widely out to people. Maybe somebody should tell him that not everybody understands this for what it is because they are not familiar with the symbolism and its meaning? The book also said that the guys who watch a lot of porn are more dissatisfied with their bodies than those who do not, because they for example compare their penis to the oversized ones seen in porn, which are not the norm and normal size, which has a similar effect as girls comparing themselves to models. Research has also shown that people who watch have a more traditional gender role concept that those who do not, which is something also seen amongst those Morrissey fans who do porn. Oh and anal sex can perforate gut and damage your closing muscle. Just in case you ever wondered why homosexuals walk as if they shit their pants.

I tell you what. There is no accounting for Morrissey's taste. I just had a listen and watch and, ah, I'm not feeling much. I thought Moz loved vocal melodies? They sound like coldplay. Nothing to see here folks

Given how bad Morrissey's taste in music tends to be, they are surprisingly not awful.

To be negative, though, for just a moment, the singer sounds like he's impersonating Paolo Nutini doing a soulless imitation of Jeff Buckley, and the arrangements are straight out of the landfill indie handbook. On a more positive note, their potential to redeem themselves lies in the fact that they could, yet, issue a statement on the internet disassociating themselves from Morrissey (and his poisoned chalice endorsement) on the grounds that he loves the racism. Time, I suppose, will tell whether they have any integrity as human beings. Hopefully, they'll prove to be less disappointing as people than they are as a pop group.

It boggles my mind how Morrissey can be so original and unique and master class at what he does and stands for, but hails this garbage as good????
I mean there is absolutley nothing original, unique or classy about Old The Dwarf. The singer looks like an Al Quaida pilot and the rest of the group look
like the guys living in the apartment next door that happened to play acoustic guitar. Their movement is atrocious, lyrics are horrendous and my body

Morrissey has turned me on to some really great bands in the past - one of my favorites being Echobelly. I will definitely check this band out! Morrissey rarely praises a band these days to such extremes, so I know they must be pretty awesome.
