"Salford Lads Club is proud to announce that music legend Noel Gallagher will be the special guest for a fundraising in-conversation event on Friday 25th October.

Noel Gallagher has been one of the UK’s most loved and successful songwriters for over a quarter of a century. Since his early days in Manchester - where he wrote the first two Oasis albums Definitely Maybe and What's The Story - Noel has been awarded multiple prestigious accolades, including two Ivor Novello Awards, NME's Godlike Genius Award and the Q Icon Award.

His band - Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds - first emerged in 2011 and released their eponymous album that year, which went double platinum in the UK and has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide. Since then, Noel has toured the world relentlessly, encompassing landmark open air shows and festival headlines, performing songs he has written and released over the past three decades.

This exclusive in-conversation event will be a very rare opportunity to see Noel in front of an intimate audience and the event will raise funds for projects for Salford Lads Club projects for its young members.

Noel is always a witty and engaging interviewee - sometimes controversial - but never ever dull! Salford University's Associate Dean, Kirsty Fairclough will be asking the questions on stage at the iconic venue. Kirsty will be speaking to Noel about his incredible music career in front of an audience of 150 and for the second part of the evening there will be a Q&A, where Kirsty will be reading out selected questions from members of the audience to ask Noel.

Salford Lads Club is run by a team of volunteers, who will be happy to show everyone around and talk about the famous club's history. This event will also provide an ideal opportunity for the audience to have a look at the incredible Wall of Names and The Smiths Room, which now has two amazing giant hinged panels to display the increasing amount of photos and post-it notes by fans.

Salford Lads Club merchandise ~ including the limited edition latest t-shirt designs ~ will be on sale throughout the evening.

Doors and bars will be open from 7pm. The event will start at 8pm and will finish at approximately 10pm, which will include an interval. The Salford Lads Club bar will stay open until 10.30pm"

Regards,
FWD.

It’s great that Noel has made time to do this.

Wouldn't it be wiser to just close down the Salford Lads Club and open a vasectomy clinic in it's place? Nip it in the bud.
