People who hate Morrissey

I saw thousands of adult English males on my TV crying and losing it and placing teddy bears at memorials when Princess Diana died.

And the term 'Dianification' is still used today to describe the probably over the top outpourings of grief.

There is definitely a lot of homophobia in some people's hatred of him. They won't say it specifically but you can tell. And part of it is because Morrissey is not a stereotypical "gay" popstar so they can't put him in his place. He doesn't fit anywhere so that is more scary for them.

That's why so many people who like the Smiths will try and justify it by saying they only like Johnny Marr. Because Johnny Marr has a wife, so that's OK.
