That crossed my mind too! I think that this DVD with theatrical release was planned before Morrissey knew has was going to have to cancel the tour, I believe it's part of his bigger plan.

Morrissey knows the US fans, especially those who didn't get to see him at all the last tour, expect him to get back to those cities. I think M knows this and will get there as soon as he can.

The film will make waiting a little less painful

Knowing he was going to release the show, he should have added a few more songs to the set from earlier in the tour.
