Radio X make "Spent The Day In Bed" their record of the week

This means the song will be played on every show throughout the day all week. Great publicity.

Radio X? Is that the radio station the teenagers listen to these days?

They broadcast to London and Manchester and digitally everywhere else. You can download the app for free and listen anywhere in the world.

It's the only music station I listen to. It's all rock and indie stuff. They play a lot of Moz/Smiths stuff.

fantastic news, mozz will be delighted.so many things happening in mozzland these days, mini concert next week followed by jools Holland probably followed by jonathan ross, then the tour and then the album.does anyone else think bmg are doing a fine job, theirs been no rumblings of discord so far so hopefully it stays that way.

Maybe not quite as much hype but it does feel a bit like 2004.

There's nothing like new album excitement.

Good news, of course, but Radio X is a bit of a minnow.
Under 1.5 million listeners per week puts it way out of the UK top 10 stations.
6 Music are playing it quite a bit but they are a pretty minor station, too, although popular with people who are really into music. Radio 2 is the country's biggest station with 15 million listeners - if it gets on their playlist, it will really boost album sales.

BMG are doing a fantastic job promoting the record. He can't blame 'promotion' this time. It's a shame though they're probably stuck promoting another turd if the single (ok music, shame about the badly written lyrics) is anything to go by.

It is good news. Radio X are playing it 7-8 times a day and whenever I hear it played it is followed by genuinely enthusiastic comments.
Chris Moyles has had quite a few big name interviews in the last few weeks – Liam Gallagher, Bono and Foo Fighters to name a few.
Hopefully Moz will follow.
As Tbevie says, the app is great. It's worth having on your phone as you can listen to it from anywhere.

Just wish they woudn''t play the Stone Roses and Arctic Monkeys as often as they do.

It's also A-listed now on BBC6, and Spotify-streams are over half a million now.
The single is certainly already a success now!

The cover is atrocious. Morrissey WTF happened to you? Why? Why? Why?
