how is it that it's unacceptable to call black people "niggers" (which of course it should be) but it's acceptable (in the states, no one in Canada does it) to call native americans 'indians' and inuit 'eskimos'? those are equally derogatory terms whose usage can denote nothing but contempt and dismissal for the people they refer to.
