I've adored Alan Bates in every movie of his I've seen, and while I don't know this for a fact, I'll bet Morrissey is a fan too given his penchant for pre-1970s British film. For those who don't know, Alan's acting career really took off in the 1960s and he starred in a few iconic films from that decade including Zorba the Greek, Le Roi de coeur, and Georgy Girl. He was a wonderful and extremely loveable actor and I know he'll be missed.

He was damn cute too.

THE WORLD WON'T LISTEN

Damn right, Chill. Sadly, another British film actor of the 60s (the best era for films, IMO) is no longer with us. :'o(
