Sponge?

This is a Morrissey fan site. What do you expect posters to discuss?

Not so much the topic Peter but I have trouble describing the search for Morrissey's intentions as 'painful' and wishing to have not woken up for the day's activities as a result of this conundrum.

Self-parody. A sponge is the sort of object a harmless, off-kilter man would take with him into the palace.

How big are the crums? I never leave crums when I eat :) tee hee.

Back to Morrissey, what brand of sponges does he use to clean his bidet? I don't know the brand my cleaning lady uses ;)

She's being critical. (Otherwise the next line wouldn't make sense.)

I do like the idea of the sponge being a cake, I'd not thought of that at all.
But I don't think that's what he meant, it makes even less sense.

God, I really wish I hadn't woken up this morning.

The following line reveals his interpretation of her comment, not necessarily her meaning. I thought it might be consistent with M's humor that she means X he hears Y... But who cares.

Has no-one noticed that "spanner" rhymes with "pianner" and "sponge" alliterates with "spanner"?

There's only one sponge I know of:
