The Charlatans' Tim Burgess is to curate a one-off gig at Salford Lads Club.

Taking place on October 20, the show will feature Factory Floor, Hatcham Social and The Heartbreaks, plus an acoustic set from Burgess and his Charlatans bandmate Mark Collins.

Organised by Topman CTRL, proceeds from the show will go towards keeping the Greater Manchester youth centre, outside which The Smiths were famously photographed, open and operational.

"Really pleased to have put together and be part of such an inspiring line-up," Tim Burgess said in a statement. "It is important that Salford keeps the Lads Club running for another 100 years."

DJ sets from Salford-born Burgess and former New Order drummer Stephen Morris will also feature as part of the show.

Meanwhile, Stephen Wright, who famously captured Morrissey and co outside the club in 1985, will also be in attendance, giving fans the chance to recreate his iconic image.

As previously reported, The Courteeners' Liam Fray recently peformed at Salford Lads Club, where he showcased three new songs.

Tickets for the show will cost £10 and go on sale on October 8. To check the availability of The Charlatans tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/TICKETS now, or call 0871 230 1094.
