It was a good idea to know which is the UK first press.

I think a first press have a MATRIX A1/B1 but i'm not sure.

Sometime the first album have an A1/B1 but with the stamp logo, sometime an A2/B1 press have the curve logo

another example for hatful of hollow, An A1/B1 without misspress

People seem to think a first press only has A1/B1, which is not the case at all. You can have 10 copies of a first press and they wont all have the same matrix numbers.

Thank you
It's not clear for the smiths even on the passionsjustlikemine site, there is no information for the Matrix numbers.
On ebay the A1/B1 rise up... and i don't know which alternative press to buy.

I've had the same discussion with Ordinaryboy when i bought a misspress (dot missing on the back sleeve) of hatfulof hollow A2/B1 from him.
For other artists there is more documentations.

It would be great to have all the information. But i think very few people know that...

I'm trying to get a UK rough trade Hatful of Hollow. Does anyone know what the matrix numbers are?
