he basically replaces one track with a borin demo. the end.

Re: Viva Hate 1997 & 2012

1997 parlophone cd has first 12 tracks as standard with additional tracks:
13 Let the right one slip in.
14 Pashernate love.
15At Amber.
16 Dissapointed (live)
17 Girl least likely to.
18 I'd love to.
19 Michael's bones.
20 I've changed my plea to guilty.

Completely different artwork see pic. viva.jpg

2012 reissue is a completely remastered affair with track 9. Ordinary boys replaced with, Treat me like a human being, again completely revised artwork from both original an 1997 parlophone.

Re: Viva Hate 1997 & 2012

Thanks for your quick reply, but I try to distinguish between the 1997 and the 2002 pressing.
The tracklists are identical, of course, the catalogue number, too. I´m looking for some criterias which
determine 2002 pressing; e.g. I´ve never seen this re-issue whith "2002" on the disc or on rear side.
Maybe the IFPI-number differs???

There was no 2002 pressing, I think confussion comes from Discogs who are showing a copy of the 100 year celebration 1997 reissue, with a 2002 date but it's wrong. It's the same pressing just wrong date.

Actually there were 1998 and 2002 pressings, they're the same as the 1997 one but just the jewelcase, without the box and thick EMI-100 booklet.

Well there you go sorted.

Re: Viva Hate 1997 & 2002

I recently purchased the 2002 pressing and - as Stephane already pointed out - it is basiccally the same as the 1997 version by content, cat.-no and sleeve.
There are only some very minor changes, and no reference at at all that is was from 2002: the disc is now Made in EU, not Made in UK like it was in the boxed version. The backside sleeve is a blurred version of the 1997 photo, making it look different (like a bad copy) at first sight. The paper used for the booklet feels 'cheaper'. But thats all!
