Gender is a social construct. I happen to identify at least half of these singers as female.
 
Hmm very difficult as I appreciate songwriting more than anything so this list could change depending on what mood I'm in for what type of music etc but I'll try

Weird question. If a singer made a bunch of music as a male then got a sex change and started to identify as a female and continued to make music does that mean that the past albums are now considered to have been made by a female singer. What would be the right thing to say. Against me, fronted by Laura Jane grace formally Tom, came to mind when thinking of singers and it just made me curious. If I said they were made by a man since she was Tom then would that be a faux pas in lgbt circles
