Gervais is a genius. The Office, Pheonix Nights and Partridge are the greatest British comedies of our generation.

I even cried when Dawn and Tim hooked up, a grown man of twenty-five. Soft khunt eh? It's Bambi all over again...

I thought the first episode was a bit of a let down but the second one was superb !

I shed a tear at that happy ending Great stuff

Xmas telly was such a let-down that, for me, 'The Office' was the best thing to watch. I thought there was too much David Brent and not enough Gareth. Although, I think Gervais is too "tongue in cheek" not to be a little arrogant like Brent, which could explain why there was a bit of a Brent overload.

My lips did quiver at the ending with Tim and Dawn, though. I must have been in a soppy mood. Mind you, I thought the Brent "happy ending" with his bird was a bit unlikely.

Am I reading too much into this, do you think?

Goodness sake ! just say if you liked it or not ya numpty.

There is no need to start knitting a jumper you know

My fave thing was "The Filth And The Fury". That was a tad before Chrimbo but when you have to work as hard as I do over the festive period it has to count !

Oh...and "Amilie" was on which I have taped but not yet watched...and "Kes"..and a few episodes of "Porridge"...and "Iris" was a great filum.

> I love Andy Rouke you know

Post under your own name and not someone elses. It's much better.

I agree, the first episode was a bit crap although it did improve as it went on. The second episode was top draw. And you'd have to be a heartless bastard not to shed a tear at Tim and Dawn's getting together.

Oh that's spoiled it all for me. It's going to be screened overhere soon(ish), probably Easter knowing my luck. I liked Tim the best. I bet he has a copy of Hatful of Hollow stashed away at home.

All we got on the telly was "The Railway Children", again. Tonight it's the Royal Performance. Go TVNZ you good thing.
