Why Morrissey is dead to me

Would he like Morrissey to turn water in to wine too.
Having a love, a passion for those with no voice is important. Billy Bragg has been speaking out from the human suffering point of view, if you had bothered to listen. Also I believe Morrissey is SELF educated, try it for yourself.
by the way, I work for the public sector and may be losing my job so I'm not having a go but it's a stupid, self service, bitchy article.

Earnestgrimmer, Is the writer a friend of yours? Tell him that I'll be more than happy to pay the P&P for his record collection since he wishes it part with them.

that's how people grow up...
Don't blame Morrissey, he's a bit past it. :)
Aren't we all?

Rather than being dead, it's just he's probably as important as the next rich gay not very bright sheltered veggie bloke...
Hey, he never said he was a genius...

Gay? More like celibate/asexual...I refuse to believe :p

Morrissey is more outspoken than Hitler himself...If he was gay, he would have shouted it down the streets ages ago! The man is not afraid of anything (apart from eating meat obviously)...

No the writer isn't a friend of mine. I just couldn't resist posting the article here to see what Morrissey afficionados thought of the sentiments being expressed, because personally I think that Gethyn Pugh is absolutely right.

Morrissey made much of the treatment of the working classes under Thatcher's government, you could say he traded off it. Now he's a wealthy tax exile. I would say he's turned into exactly the kind of person he railed against in order to capture the attention of his fans and become some kind of anti-establishment hero to disenfranchised youth of the eighties. I love his music but I think he's incredibly hypocritical.

Of course Morrissey is gay. Though I really don't see how that is relevant to this thread.

Well if one was fussy one could argue being gay is being dead...:lbf: (pathetic attempt to try and drag contrary Swedes into the convo)

Er...Goodbye! :D

Bi, possible...straight, more than likely....celibate, very likely...gay, NEVER! :lbf:

Yes, he and Jake only happened to sleep in the same bed. :p

Is Billy Bragg a hypocrite? he's a socialist but lives in a big house with alot of land. Paul McCartney? he's from a working class family but he now owns many homes around the world and is one of the richest man in the world. Bono thinks it's ok to lecture on limited change while causing a great deal himself. Iggy Pop advertises insurance, Johnny Rotten made a butter commercial, Shaun Ryder appear in a reality tv show.............but because Morrissey doesn't like in a two up two down and pretend to be a politician, you have a problem!

You must be having a laugh...:lbf:

"Morrissey was ‘backing up’ his well-documented in-fighting nemesis and ex-band member Johnny Marr"...

What?

OK....Bi, more than likely. However, gay...NEVER!

Damn all you Morrissey fans trying to rape me with your words! :D

"I refuse to recognize the terms hetero-, bi-, and homo-sexual. Everybody has exactly the same sexual needs. People are just sexual, the prefix is immaterial".
