Summary by Cameron Smith

The Salt Lake Show was simply fabulous. The Smoking Popes played an excellent opening set and after about an hour and 15 minute intermission, Morrissey hit the stage. The crowd was packed in like no show I had ever seen before and many people were carried off, apparently injured. Only three people made it on stage, after which they were brutally and humiliatingly swept out by security. One boy even kissed Morrissey’s feet. The set list was surprisingly different with the additions of "Spring-Heeled Jim", "Trouble Loves Me", "Why Don’t You Find Out For Yourself", and the opener was "Do Your Best And Don’t Worry", with the encore being "Shoplifters". He did not play "Wide To Receive", "The Teachers Are Afraid Of The Pupils", "Satan Rejected My Soul", "Billy Budd", or "Maladjusted". But the show was still excellent and I do not want to harp on the subtractions. Some of the concert talk included: "I have just one question... just one question... just one question... How do you breathe?", he introduced himself as "Hello, my name is Trouble", he asked if we were "incredibly bored? Tell the truth", and also asked if we, "ever considered to moving to Wyoming? I wouldn’t advise it." One more thing, he changed the lyrics in "Paint A Vulgar Picture" from "BPI, MTV, BBC, Please them, please, them." to "MTV, MTV, MTV, kiss their ass."
