OK, we've all got the set list and most of what Morrissey said this evening, no need to reiterate. . . So anyway, the show was brilliant. The Sheila Divine were definitely a good choice, even if the sound person appeared to be sleeping, judging from the poorly mixed drums and slightly muddy guitar. Those of you heckling the opener would have been better off sipping a cocktail somewhere. This behavior is pretty blase' to say the least. Anyway, Morrissey's voice was completely on, his presence strong and his candor between songs beautiful. The band, often the object of harsh criticism was tight, as well. Again, at times the sound could have been a little sharper, but it was mostly clean and clear. I'm often adverse to shows that are completely seated, but luckily a mostly beautiful crowd let their enthusiasm overcome this 'barrier.' Great set, including the unexpected (at least by me) closing song. It left me teetering on being satisfied with the peformance and wanting just a little bit more. Also interesting to see Morrissey stop to reminisce about the Smiths days and playing in the very same building some 16 years ago. All in all, an energy I haven't felt in a long time at concerts was definitely present tonight.
