  • haha...oh well i see..i see..:)
i feel very good at the moment..I#m booking a hotel for offenbach right now..and the good thing is that i found someone who would go with me..who's also alone..then we go together to the cologne gig..awesome..aometimes it's quite boring to go alone..but otherwise..moz fans are always very kind people..;)

and you..i find it quite boring today...nothing real to do..just lying in bed with my laptop while watching tv..
Well, there's this thing about me. If something smells bad, I won't eat it and cooked spinach is one of them. You wouldn't BELIEVE all of the veggies I have never tried in my 46 years, due to smell. My motto is- if it smells like old gym socks, it probably tastes like them too :p
a free bar! yikes, I'd be drinking my head off. I don't know if you are vegetarian ( I am not) but chicken soup always works for hangovers. ALWAYS. Hope you're feeling better! K~
Yay! Maybe he'll be encouraged to come back. :D

I'm not a big fan of the phone, either. I always let the machine answer it. I'm terrible like that. I spend so much time answering phones at work that I just don't have the desire or patience to answer it at home. I don't answer my door either. I'm such an anti-social bitch. :)

It isn't easy but I somehow manage to make it through the day without passing out on my face.

    You said, "skanky." Hee.

No internet for a week? How will I survive without you?!?

Be safe! And take some pictures, dammit! :p
Damn! Did he like us? Better than Miami, I hope! :)

Are you in New York yet?

My phone pet peeve is when someone calls up and says that something's wrong with their dog/cat and basically wants a diagnosis over the phone. We can't do that. On the retail side, I hate it when people don't get to the point. Just tell me what you're looking for without an entire history. And, for the love of God, don't f***ing spell it for me. I hate that.

I haven't heard of either Crissie Aggie or Mars Caz, so I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt on those. ;)

Frank Spencer as The Phantom? I'd be in the seat right next to you. That would be hilarious.

I'm back at work with only two hours of sleep. I'm definitely dragging ass today.

    How was your day?
Any job that entails serving the public in any way is, for the most part, draining. That's why I prefer working with animals. :)

I'm only 20 pages in so far so you've got time to catch up. :p

Is that the most embarrassing thing about your musical library? You can do better than that. I own some of Christina's stuff but I can't say that I own any Mariah albums. She has a lovely voice, though.

I wanted to be Wonder Woman when I was little. Lynda Carter is still beautiful.

I love New York. I haven't been in years. Do you have anything special planned? A performance of Phantom, perhaps? :p

If sleeping is "me" time, then I've had some of that. Now I've got to get ready for work. :o
Oh, and I do hate people. I have a sticker on my car that reads, "Show me someone with a deep loathing for all mankind and I'll show you someone who works in retail." Truer words were never spoken.

Guess what came in today? My copy of The Ripper Code! You should get your own copy so we can discuss it. The Tumblety book hasn't come in yet, so it will probably turn up next week. :D

I can be shamefully anti-social depending on the customer. I should be nice all the time but I've found that I have less tolerance for bullshit as I get older. Most of the time I wish that people would get to the point. I don't need a synopsis of the book. Title or author will suffice. That's a minute of my life that I'll never get back.

    *sigh*

So what are some of the skeletons rattling around in your closet? Who do you listen to that you're ashamed to admit to? :D

Wonder Woman in comic form or Wonder Woman inhabiting Lynda Carter's body? ;)

I will definitely check into Barber when I have the time. After you mentioned "Adagio for Strings," I realized that I had that one. :o

    I hope you've had a good morning. :)
I was a bit concerned for you and your iPod there for a bit.

Retail in Christmas is the main reason why I hate people as a whole. I don't like to shop during Christmas at all. If I can get something online, I will. Come to think of it, I don't like shopping, period.

I think we as Southerners just tend to chat more when we're ringing someone out, especially if he's friendly. :)

I didn't mean to intimidate you with the massive size of my external drive. :o

I'll have to look into the Barber piece. That makes it sound like I'm looking for a toupee. Hmm. . .

I'm not afraid to say that I'm an Andrew Lloyd-Webber fan. I realize that you may not trust my judgment on anything musical ever again, but I can't help myself.

    I would still have Michael's baby. :D

How are your ears feeling? Did you have a good day off?
Retail pay is deplorable, especially with the kind of customers you have to put up with sometimes. I think everyone - and I mean everyone - should have to work one week in retail during the Christmas season, preferably Black Friday. Then, maybe people would be more polite and understanding when they're taking part in the shopping frenzy.

I was more fascinated by Byron and Shelley themselves than I was by their works. :o

Interesting combination, isn't it? I know that he's been Frank Spencer for a while, but to an American teenager like me (and I was by no means your typical American teenage girl) whose first glimpse of him was his portrayal of The Phantom, he was very sensual. Have you seen the video for "The Music of the Night?" Rawr! I do love him as Frank, though. :D

How big is your external drive? ;)

I went all out and bought the 1 TB. It was on sale and I knew I'd need the space. No music on your iPod? What do you have on it?

STAY AWAY FROM CREED AT ALL COSTS. If I can save just one life. . .
That pile of books should keep me occupied for a while. :)

Retail pay is pretty sad here. I certainly wouldn't be able to live on what I get paid at the book store.

I went through a pretty intense Byron and Shelley phase in college. You should give the Holland book a go. I love anything that has to do with vampires. I keep hoping I'll run into one someday and be turned.

Come to think of it, I've gone through some interesting phases.

    14 - James Dean
    15 - Jimmy Page
16 - Michael Crawford and the Marquis de Sade :)eek:)
17 - Michael Crawford, Oscar Wilde, Lord Byron and Percy Bysshe Shelley
18 - Lord Byron and Percy Bysshe Shelley

    I'm kind of a research whore. :o

I haven't totally filled The Pod. I've still got about 27 GB left. :p

The Pod does have several movies and a lot of video clips loaded onto it, so it isn't all music. I had to get an external drive just for my music. When I said I listened to just about everything except Creed, I wasn't kidding!

As John Lennon sang, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."
    Ooo. . . shiny. . .

Dammit. Now I have to order that one, too. I was finally able to order The Ripper Code today. I also ordered the other book you suggested. No luck on Oscar's Books. It isn't available in the US until next year. :(

Have you heard of this one?

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/0671534254/ref=sr_1_olp_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1224545971&sr=1-1

It was very good. I rather like the idea of Byron as a vampire. :horny:

Retail in general doesn't pay well here. I wonder how well Borders pays their employees in the UK? Should I put in for a transfer? :)

I love my iPod. I've got the 160 GB whopper. It is simply referred to as The Pod. I also have a Shuffle, which is good for walking. I don't really have a lot of extra time to do stuff. I wish I did. When I do have time off, I tend to be lazy and curl up with a book. I don't get to read as much as I'd like to. I used to walk every day but haven't done that lately, either. :(
