    Birmingham - Genting Arena (Feb. 27, 2018) post-show

I had a rather large woman in the seat next to me in Newcastle (making it much more cramped) who turned up clutching one of those massive 2-pinter beers. Was very animated, jigging around and singing along. ‘How Soon Is Now’ had her up on her feet. And then... I think it was during ‘Hold On...

    Newcastle - Metro Radio Arena (Feb. 23, 2018) post-show

Yawn, so your appreciation of the the performance is directly related to the amount of physical exertion you show, how dare people choose to take in a gig in any other way

My first Moz gig since 2011, really enjoyed it. Most of the LIHS stuff was great, and I was made up to hear ‘I’m Not Sorry’. ‘Jack the Ripper’ and ‘Munich 1958’ were highlights too. Saw big ‘Samwell Tarly’ from Game of Thrones a couple of times in the foyer, posing graciously for selfies with...

    Mark E Smith RIP

I discovered The Fall, around 12 years ago. A friend was playing the first track 'Repetition' on the ‘50,000 Fall Fans...’ comp when I walked in. I'd never heard of them, but was intrigued enough to ask to borrow the cd. Saw them live 12 times in all (first gig was with the Dudes), and they...

Morrissey continues to be the ‘George Lucas’ of pop

I'd like to know his reasoning for this bizarre revisionism, as some of the choices seem arbitrary at best. Looking at the 'new' tracklisting reminds me of the tinkering with the Southpaw & Maladjusted reissues, though in this instance not as extreme. Removing 'Asian Rut' from the running...

    The Fall - any fans???

Problems with his feet apparently, but don't know much more. Seemed to improve towards the end of the tour, I saw them in London last Thursday, and Cambridge the week before that. Apart from sitting down a few times, MES was on great form and seemed to be enjoying himself. Band were tight as...

    The Fall - any fans???

Actually probably the first Fall song I fell in love with. It may be down to the 'gaps in your knowledge', but there are much more testing songs than EYF. I'm not going to post any link as I realise this opinion i entirely subjective. :)

    The Fall - any fans???

I think the adjectives used in that one paragraph tell you a lot of what you need to know :D P.S., the article is now available to read: http://z1.invisionfree.com/forums/thefall/index.php?showtopic=30990&view=findpost&p=12051434

    The Fall - any fans???

P.S. the new album is supposedly being released September/October. Been spending a lot of time on the Fall forum recently hoovering up any new info. Going to buy Mojo tomorrow if I can't find it online anywhere, there's a sizeable article/interview with MES & co about the new record, I hear tell...
