I'm not sure of the point they're trying to prove here, but time and again Morrissey has been misquoted. "England for the English," for example, is taken drastically out of context on more than this one occasion.
'Vauxhall And I'? It's a great album but the vocals are nowhere near as exciting, diverse and dramatic as most other albums. Not to me anyway.
My vote goes to 'World Peace Is None Of Your Business', the vocals on 'Staircase At The University' (and on many other songs) put a lump in my throat.
For me the only record where his vocals sounded unpleasant at times was on Years of Refusal, especially on I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris-- where he did sound ill (in the music video he also looked ill, although I don't know if that was intentional).
As for the other albums I think his voice...
