The Moz/Smiths Top 100, Part 250: HONEY, YOU KNOW WHERE TO FIND ME

I actually kind of liked the demo with vocals we had earlier more than this released version .. it feels a bit more plodding or something than the demo did .. although they're not all that different in production. I gave it a 6 .. i like the song, i like its message and it sums up how im sure i...

The Moz/Smiths Top 100, Part 249: I'M OK BY MYSELF

I dont give 10s easy in these things but this is a 10 for me .. the fact that YOR is out almost a year and the 2 songs I haven't tired of in any way are Skull and OK ... that speaks for itself to me. It rocks, it's funny, it's thoughtful .. love it!

Best Smiths / Morrissey Cover Version 2009 Poll

Wait, does it have to be that the cover song was released in 2009? If so then that Lucksmiths cover has been around for awhile (and is very good).

Is there a Morrissey fan 'type'?

I don't think there is ... there are certainly people who love Morrissey who's taste in music apart from him sticks to the same sort of genre ... your Cure's, Lloyd Cole's and such ... but on the other hand I know there are people like myself. I've held Morrissey as my favorite artist since I...

Morrissey on Desert Island Discs - 29 Nov 2009

I refuse to believe this is true ... it's not that music today is bland and boring, it's that people refuse to move on .. it's why some people refuse to listen to radio stations that play anything after the 70s or 80s. Sure whats in the top of the charts can be, and usually is quite bland and...

Morrissey on Desert Island Discs - 29 Nov 2009

I find it interesting that he says he is baffled that everyone is still locked in the past and only want to talk about The Smiths as if they're better than his solo stuff .. yet look at his selection of songs .. they're all from yesteryear .. nothing from more recent times. Can he really blame...

The Moz/Smiths Top 100, Part 245: ONE DAY GOODBYE WILL BE FAREWELL

I give it a 6 ... the versions he was doing on tour before YOR was released were much better .. the horn intro was much better .. hell Mikey F. just owned on that song from start to finish. I was disappointed with the album version ... intro is a bit more ho-hum and the "ta ta, ta ta ta ta" bit...

Moz will never visit my country

Re: Now moz will never visit my country That sucks ass ... I guess Canada has their reason as to why he wont go there. Australia is still waiting for ours .. we don't even club animals that try to hurt us!

The Moz/Smiths Top 100, Part 241: Something Is Squeezing My Skull

I gave it a 9, I'd put this in my top 10 Moz solo tracks. Love how it flows as a rocker, Moz's voice on it is just perfect and I am quite fond of the lyrics.

Does anyone treat Morrissey as their God? Literally?

I remember when having a drunken night passing a joint around that I had this crack pot theory that Moz was god. And my absolute indisputable proof of this was that The Smiths was the old testament, and that solo was the new testament ... man I was wasted.

The Moz/Smiths Top 100, APPENDIX: CHILDREN IN PIECES

dreadful .. i hate this song. the lyrics just do not fit the tune at all. It's like he would rather be writing it as a rant article or something but somehow got convinced it should go to music. Voted 1 .. and there are very, very few Moz songs I'd even vote less than a 5.

    Emotionally impacting lyrics

That's true about Angel, Angel ... it's like he could have said "and they've made you cry" .. but the fact it's like going that one step further and saying "and made your PARENTS cry" .. it just makes whatever the situation in the song seem so much more intense and personal.

Acoustic cover of The Public Image

very nice as usual, but I'd like to see you try another style rather than the haunting type stuff, a little bop along to Sister I'm a... or the poppyness of Lucky Lisp or something.
