ooops indeed! You can't write off the Killers and Kasaian as garbage, sorry. However I'm with you on the NME being garbage:)

NME's Top 100 tracks of the decade, IBEH at #98

Let's not get upset here - any list that includes Animal Collective, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Kings Of Leon, The F*ck B*ttons, Glasvegas, Cribs, TV On The Radio, MGMT, Fleet Foxes, Elbow, Kasabian, Killers et al can't be THAT bad can it??

is Morrissey in danger of destroying his own enigma?

I honestly can't think of anybody more enigmatic than Moz.

is Morrissey in danger of destroying his own enigma?

Morrissey week on X factor. Now there's an Idea... Which song would Louis pick for JEdward? :lbf: Loop? Unloveable? Still Ill? Sorry I'll stop now, don't get up - I'll get me coat...

What Smiths/Morrisey albums have you been listening to the most lately?

SWORDS cos it's new. Keep listening to Ganglord and My Dearest Love

Has listening to Swords made you change your mind about any of the songs?

I'm surprised at how much I've enjoyed my copy of Swords. My Dearest Love is great, that bass line is killer plus I've also re-discovered Ganglord. Sweetie Pie is a real grower - I think he should do more tracks with 'experimental' production, sometimes this can make it more interesting...

Morrissey does not have a record contract

Recording contracts are sooooo yesterday! He should just put his new stuff on MySpace!:guitar:

The Moz/Smiths Top 100, Part 237: MY DEAREST LOVE

Call me sycophantic if you will but this is great. Not quite a 10 maybe but definitely more than a 9. There's no 9.5 button so I'll toss a coin. Sycophants of the world unite and take over...

Morrissey does not have a record contract

Isn't it about time he had a change of Manager too?

Why reform the Smiths? Just add Marr!

Hee hee - you're not the only one who thinks so...

Why reform the Smiths? Just add Marr!

It's 2009 and soon we'll see all 4 original Smiths together. Sounding better than ever...

Why reform the Smiths? Just add Marr!

I don't recognise that we'll never see all four Smiths together again. Time is a great healer and I think it will happen. Call me deluded if you like:squiffy: I do agree that we shouldn't dwell on it though... I'm enjoying their current output...:guitar:

" Drinking tea with the taste of the Thames...

...under slate-grey Victorian skies I love the lyrics to this song. Oh I nearly forgot... 'Where taxi drivers never stop talking...'

    Morrissey's Catholicism

Re: Morrissey's Catholicism. Me too! I've been on the receiving end of violence from nuns and priests. It definitely does have an effect on you.

    Matt Walker's Drumming

Me too! His busy snare work is fascinating. Moz likes him too!

    Swords: Wtf?!

Your post here is appreciated and you make some excellent points, but I'm not sure his recent exhibitioinistic streak is quite that transparent. I think that the recent forays into nudism are driven by his need to push barriers. He can't give any more lyrically, he's already given all there is...

    Swords: Wtf?!

I'm not gonna pillory you, however I don't agree that these are sad days to be a Morrissey fan. He's recently released his best album in ages - completed a very successful world tour, so he likes getting naked? So what? It's good to be a Morrissey fan I think...
