Johnny Marr announces UK tour Mar 2013

I suspect there will be a warm up show between now and the first date. JM recently said on twitter that he enjoyed the N&D and DI gigs.

    Morrissey interview in Village Voice

Johnny Marr is quoted as saying at the meeting at Geales that the quiffs have got to go. Get rid of a quiff and you end up with a Suedehead.

    The Smiths - The Jam

I always thought there was a similarity between Town Called Malice and This Charming Man...Morrissey had some of the Jam's compilation album SNAP played during the Vauxhall & I signing session in Manchester in 1994.

Advert for Best I and Best II

It must be funny being U2. Imagine. You're the world's biggest group. Your every move receives the full glare of popular scrutiny, your every utterance is scanned for meaning and import, you can sell-out concerts across the globe, get world leaders on the phone and have million queue to buy your...

    The Smiths @ the Hacienda, 04 / 02 /1983 - 3rd gig on youtube

I believe that most if not all concerts at the Hacienda were recorded by Factory Records' in-house company IKON.

Manchester - So Much To Answer For - Exhibition by Kevin Cummins in Camden from June

Re: Manchester - So Much To Answer For - Exhibition by Kevin Cummins in Camden from J I hope it gets a transfer to the Manchester Photographic Gallery, the recent Joy Division "EXEMPLAR" exhibition was epic. There was a photo of the outside of the Electric Circus in Collyhurst I'd not seen...

"Viva Hate" reissue - Uncut review (8/10), Andrew McGibbon Revelations

Yet the one album that does need revising, "Kill Uncle", has yet to get the make-over treatment it needs. "The Loop", "I've Changed My Plea.." the KROQ versions of "Sling Your Wife" and "There Is A Place..", hell even "Born To Hang" and the half finished title track will probably end up on the...

Possible Gilbert O'Sullivan lyrical crib in I Have Forgiven Jesus?

I also didn't realise that he, O'Sullivan had an album called Southpaw.

Johnny Marr new material - "European Me" recording session clip.

Having immersed himself with the master tapes during the restoration of the Smiths "Complete" Johnny Marr sounds like he is writing tunes like he used to. A reunion with Morrissey is unlikely, I'd love a return of Alain Whyte the greatest post Marr co-writer.

    Re-releases: Viva Hate and Suedehead

I think Frank Arkwright has been involved with this. I believe he and Stephen Street are remastering the Blur albums?

    Re-releases: Viva Hate and Suedehead

I would have thought that a new (possibly final) album on EMI would have led to increased interest in the Morrissey back catalogue. EMI must be putting some finance towards the re-issue but probably not enough for a full record deal.

    Re-releases: Viva Hate and Suedehead

Dear Morrissey, Why? Lots of love Southport Grandma PS. If you had to do this sort of thing why not just get Mr Street to re-master the album, annex all the related B-sides (including Sister I'm a Poet, the full length Will Never Marry, Safe Warm Lancashire Home etc), reinstate...

Morrissey and Stephen Street re-collaborating? All of the rumours...

I suspect that the project Stephen Street was talking about will be the new Blur album, rather than a Morrissey album.
