Morrissey supports For Britain - For Britain

We’ve had another clear endorsement from Morrissey!

You might have seen on social media that legendary musician Morrissey has been spotted proudly displaying his For Britain badge - twice!

full

Morrissey is known for his fantastic music, but also for his politics. He unashamedly stands up for Britain, our culture and heritage, and our working people - the backbone of our nation. He is also passionate about animal welfare so it should come as no surprise that he has thrown his weight behind our party.

We want to thank him for his courage in defying the lies and smears.

MORRISSEY IS ON BOARD - JOIN HIM!

People of all backgrounds are joining For Britain… we have members who have come from Labour, the Conservatives, the Greens, Ukip, and other parties and none. They join because they increasingly realise what we stand for - decency, fairness, compassion, justice, and above all, Britain.

This is beginning to shine despite the attacks we endure from all sides, attacks which make us stronger.

On top of this, we have just won our first seats - we beat Labour in the north and the Tories in the south. We achieved this while standing only a small number of candidates - just imagine what we can do as we grow! We came second in several other seats and have gained more than ALL other parties in various seats around the country.

For Britain is the future and more people realise this.

JOIN US NOW, be ahead of the curve, and be a part of this historic movement. No new party has made an impact like this in our lifetime!

Canada news website ETCanada are rattling about the For Britain story. They mention Fiona Dodwell on it, who was defending him, funny cos all other comments on there are negative but she keeps going, does old dodwell

Morrissey has always been an independent spirit who says whatever he likes, regardless of who it may rile. It's one of the things I've always admired about him.

Now he supports a political party that wants to prevent Britain from becoming an Islamic freakshow (which sadly it partly is already). In a time when it is a social sin to err from our two-party system, this is admirable.

The problem is not him being an independent spirit.
The problem is that the image of the Smiths (and early Morrissey solo), as expressed in lyrics and interviews, was strongly opposed to royalty and right-wing ideologies. Margaret on the Guillotine, 'there are some bad people on the rise', 'we won't vote Conservative - everyone lies', 'the poor and the needy are selfish and greedy' (according to the Queen). Him no longer being strongly opposed to right-wing ideologies is shocking enough. But actually endorsing a far-right organization is absolutely f***ing unbelievable.
He's making the mistake of thinking that it's only pissing off a handful of journalists (and c-list Mancunian celebs like Dave Hasbeen). It's not - it's actually hemorrhaging a huge chunk of his UK (at least) fan-base. 20 to 30% or more. We'll see this more clearly if/when he has the guts to announce a UK tour.

The stages of denial I have seen on these very pages

'That's not a For Britain badge, it's publicizing Maserati"

No, it's a For Britain badge

"Well, they're a legitimate party , and they're not racist"

Ok, here's the links showing that their members are anti-Semites, white supremacists, and associates of a convicted paedophile and would-be MP murderer...

"Well.....f*** you"
I think youre confusing them with the Conservative party or is it Labour? Can't really tell the difference.
Tony Charles Lydon Blair and those weapons of mass destruction, 1 million Iraqi s dead, no Racism there. Speaking of paedophilia and murder..... Saville, Margaret Thatcher, ted heath, Leon Britten, Prince phillip Prince Charles Mountbatten, Prince Andrew and Epstein, ...... And on and on.
You spend a lot of time on the Internet, look up the 'respectable' political parties, the acts of terrorism they've colluded in.

The sad part is that Morrissey is surely more an idiot than a fascist (well, the other way it will be sad too).

He is endorsing FB just because of their views on animal right, he is a one track mind. And of course the part about englishness. Which is stupid because for a long time english people despise Irish migrants ho were not considered as english. And cherry on the cake, it's driven by a lesbian...

Maybe we have to face the ugly truth, he is a good "musician" but an awful human. Picasso was also a c***, but as there was no internet at the time, few people know it, and they don't care.

Anyway, artists are all about themselves, for example when he want you to spend the day in bed, does he care about the consequences ? It's not even about the alienation of the worker or the society violence toward people. It's just plain stupid, teh view of an old milionaire, spending time in luxury, and enjoying his day doing nothing. While ernesto is cleaning the pool and Damon is stirring the Martini.

In short, he doesnt know or care about you. You can enjoy the songs while they last and forget the ugly man behind.

Good for Moz for doing something, anything to try to break up the dreadful 2-party system we have in England. Tories and Labour have nothing to offer but more of the same. Moz is courageous for taking a stance and saying what he believes. Most other public figures these days are too scared to do so.

‘clear endorsement‘ ? :lbf:

Well, I guess it’s as clear as Morrissey will get. His badge and the official
ones look nothing alike.

Maybe Morrissey’s version reflects what his version of the For Britain party means to him.

Anyways, last two nights of his Broadway residency, fandom still alive and well.
Hope for some song changes, but most likely
he will sing his message song to the media and haters... ‘If you don’t like me, don’t look at me’

ending with the line...

No need to get your knickers in a twist’

But who said For Britain was a right wing party?

It's the Islamists taking over Britain who are right wing.

here is the pin you need, as the interview is due any day now:

f*** Racism. f*** Morrissey.

Morrissey isn't racist. I don't know how many times I have to tell you that, Skinnybob. If you have proof that Morrissey is racist, then, please post it. Otherwise, stop with this 'Morrissey is racist' nonsense. Thank you.

You do know that merchandise changes over time/seasons/elections? Have you ever thought that perhaps this is a slight older badge, from a year or two ago?

If you believe 'islamists are trying to take over uk' you are falling for the racist alt-right bullsit agenda pushed by fb and their ilk. They want to polarise and foment racial hatred. It's true that moz only supports them cos of animal rights, but he also has spoken favourably of other alt-right racist twats like styxf***face and yaxleylennon. He should know better.

He’s so passionate about Britain that he doesn’t live here. For tax exile purposes. Such a f***ing patriot. What a cnut

Exactly, it's a betrayal of what the Smiths stood for. If you take a look at Dave Haslam's tweet about this, it's got nearly 4000 likes. That's not an inconsequential number.

Anybody with eyes can see that the Muslim presence in Britain is growing strikingly. London is swamped and is a very different city to what it was even two or three years ago. Perhaps you live in a part of the country that is low in immigration?

The majority of immigration into Britain is from Africa and the Middle East and mainly comprises Muslims. They have a very large birth rate so it's logical to presume that they will demographically overtake British people eventually, who have a tiny birthrate in comparison. Perhaps you think this is a good thing - an ultra-conservative, religion-obsessed and misogynistic people becoming the majority? I don't.

He is a star who travels the world and tours almost constantly. He has a great love for the country he grew up in and, like most sane people, would rather it not become an Islamic freakshow. What's the problem with that?

Islamic freakshow? What does that mean?? Most British Muslims I know just want to live a normal life, like all of us

Sort of. If it was only animal rights, then he could support the Greens, or Lib Dems. But he doesn't. Because his pattern of support for far-right causes and people has led him down this line.
